I don't know the specifics on ODST but from what i've heard; it's short. Shorter than Halo 3 anyway.

MGS4 has about 6-9 hours of gameplay.

MGS4 really feels "staged" or "rigged." It's the same feeling if you feel that the basketball games are rigged, as if the boxing matches are rigged, as if the casino slot machines are rigged. It feels like you're being cheated. Alot of times, you get spotted, it seems, because Kojima wants you to get spotted, not really because of something you did. i CAN'T believe anyone would give this game a higher score than Resistance Fall of Man.

With Resistance Fall of Man, I found merely one fault -- the graphics could use a bit more detail and attention. Otherwise, it's fun as heck. And the atmosphere is wonderful.

With MGS4, it has just WAY too many flaws. I find that the main thing going for it is mainly the story and above average graphics and style.

Keep in mind that my feelings change. I once hated the london sneak-follow-the-rebel-soldier around bit. Recently, I have come to enjoy that alot.

1. The in-game graphics looks realistic in alot of places.

2. The mission briefings in the nomad plane are enjoyable, like MGS1-2-3 cutscenes are.

4. MEI LING. For MEI LING ALONE, I will consider forgiving MGS4 for being MGS4.

Dude, you need to sniff MGS4's animation. Goodness. Kojima must be losing it to allow such noticeably unsmooth transition animations. I'm sure other fans have noticed that Old Snake turns from left to right in "clicks" rather than smoothly.

For a game of this magnitude, for a game that's a system seller, you'd think Kojima would assume we would want the MAIN CHARACTER to turn around smoothly. Especially for a character that's supposed to sneak cautiously rather than click around to turn.

I calibrated my monitor with a calibration disc for the first time, i bought a $200 12" medicom old snake action figure and a $40 7" masked snake action figure, i preordere it as the very first and last preorder i've ever done for a game. I watched mgs1-3 on youtube to prepare. i never played or heard of them until mgs4.

Resistance 1 is my favorite PS3 game. At least it's probably my most replayed game.

But, when I heard and saw the changes made in Resistance 2, I passed. Seems as if all the developers did was listened to that one online kid representing America complain about Resistance 1 and turned the second game into COD4 with aliens. No thanks. Let him buy it. I'll pass.

The first playthrough was a blast though, even with my high expectations for it. I bought rumble for the first time just for it. I bought a calibration disc to calibrate my television for the first time because of it. I preordered it, which is the first time I've ever preordered a game. But the game feels as if you MUST play a certain way. THEN you can enjoy it. Unlike Resistance 1.

Unlike Resistance 1 or MGS3, the game feels choppy, like the developers were in a hurry and yanked you by the nose from here to there as quickly as possible. Like a tour guide that jerks you around as fast as possible from random place to random place.

I give this game an A for effort and an A in certain DETAILS. But the overall package feels like a C.

I like MGS4. I've been playing it exclusively. Unlike MGS3, I really have to adapt myself to the game in order to enjoy it and get the "feel." With MGS3, I just get absorbed without any effort, mostly. I probably enjoy it more than Resistance right now, which has been practically number one for quite some time, to me.

But it has issues. For starter, look at Liquid Ocelot and Vamp's voice acting and character model. Geez. The solider voice overs and even Octacon sound exagerrated and cartoon.

The Japanese dub of Otacon and Liquid Ocelot sound more stern or serious. I prefer that.

But I do enjoy Mei Ling's voice over, along with Campbel, Naomi, and Big Mama.

But overall, I really like MGS4. I just have to adapt myself to it. Sometimes, I get the feel. When I do, i really enjoy it.

But my opinion changes alot with MGS4. For instance, even Octacon's voice is

MGS4 is my first MGS game, my first and probably last preorder of a game, my first reason to buy rumble, my first reason to buy a calibration disc to prepare my television, and so far, has been my last PS3 game. I haven't bought any PS3 game since.

Actually, what irks me often is Snake's animation when he turns around from north to north east or north west, or sout to South east or South west, and so on.

Rather than looking realistic and smooth, he "clicks" or "pops" into each direction. It could be my controller though. I notice the problem is severe when I play with Rumble. But if I use the regular Sixaxis, it's hardly noticeable.

I need to check again to confirm.

But I do enjoy the game if I play it a certain way.
