@andresito01 scroll down, click on slow download, enter the word they give you, then you have to wait about 60 seconds. then it will give you the option to download. Be patient.

@WizzGaming1 That worked. BUT you have to remember to Make sure you select USB Debugging in Settings > Applications > Development before connecting your phone to the computer, otherwise your PC will not recognize your phone.

Loaded fine once I did that, * FASTBOOT will not work without the debugging tab checked.

Connects to devices but not really connected.. I just want to go back to the Original state to be back on track. I'm stuck! having problems downloading the 1st link, the RUU. Wat do I do next? Or better yet; if my evo is having problems charging via the micro usb port on the bottom of the phone itself. How do I continue to unroot the evo? Will the usb port still recognize my ph to my puter?! My bf is going 2 kill me. I made him buy me a new phone, since my palm pre was crappy. your lucky i cant upgrade my phone til december of next year, on topic, go to the site and scroll down till you get to the bottom and you should be able to see to big options that say fast download and slow download, then click slow download and then do the rest is that simple

I actually had to Sync my phone to the HTC sync to get the error 170 to go away. I then shut off my phone while it was sync'd to the computer in sync mode and then did the bootload mode and that did the trick for those who are having problems

IM PRETTY SURE THIS DOESNT UNROOT UR PHONE. all it does is flash the os back. it will still say s-off when u boot into bootloader correct me if im wrong cuz i need to get it to say s-off....
