omg he has it really bad i have narcolepsy and cataplexy but its no where near as bad as that my cataplexy just makes my arms and neck not being able to move luckly i still have movement of my legs so i can stand the medication im on is just the minor medication called modafinil but it dosent work my doctor wont give me the stronger drugs though anthony i hope u get it better

I was diagnosed in my late 40s, although I don't have the catalepsy. I can doze off on the bus and go straight into REM sleep. I have experienced the sleep paralysis for 2-3 minutes at a time. (The first few times it happened, I was sure I was having some kind of stroke.) Nuvigil has helped a bit, but I've been self-medicating with Diet Pepsi for a long time.

I was diagnosed with narcolepsy when i was about five and it was really bad like the guy in this video. the doctor put me on ritalin/methylphenidate and it worked just fine. im now 24 and feel like i dont even have narcolepsy. a while ago i tested to see if i could go without it and i was able to go 2 weeks without meds. there is hope. i may be the first narcoleptic to overcome this disorder. dont give up guys.

I have narcoplepsy, cataplexy, SP, and HH, just like the guy in the video. Got it when I was 15 and it worsened over a few years. Almost flunked out of college. Got diagnosed @ 22 y/o and dealt with it. I'm 43 now and I'm a medical doctor. I've had several patient with it.

Basically, you need to seriously adjust your lifestyle, exercise, and get the the best med regimen for you and try not to think about it that much. (Everybody has something or other wrong with them)

wow, i feel very humbled at what I have just seen.I thought I had problems with life and this young brave man has made me feel different.

same here, I am hoping I do not develop cataplexy. I only started having sleep paralysis and excessive daytime sleepiness around the age 16, and it's been getting worse slowly. I will wake up seeing my dreams now, and can even follow them around until they slowly sparkle and vanish.
