This guy kept me rollin! I loved his video "Redd Foxx Video in a Plain Brown Wrapper" it was awsome. I miss his tlent and his ability to be a seriously dirty old man or a loveable grandpa. I could dig partyin with this guy-would have been a riot! Miss him.
RED was ALL on TV but the POWER`s that be SCREWED Him & the other`s on S&S out of there Due Right to the MONEY ! Wilson, Mayo,Paige etc.....Manager-DAMAGER`s
When I was fifteen years old after the Pacoima parade, I met Red Foxx in December 1980 on the corner of De Haven Avenue Van Nuys Boulevard and in Pacoima California. It was after the parade was over, I participated in the parade as part of the NJROTC of San Fernando Senior High School.
u must read this. once u have started there is no turning back. a little 10 year old girl was raped and murderded in 1945. her body was not found until 1947. then a boy last week read this and did not copy and paste this message. the dead girl appeared in his room haunting him and killed him. if you do not copy and paste this onto 10 vidoes in 30 minutes the dead girl will apear in your room tonight and haunt you and kill you. well you better start to copy and paste to besaved
I remember hiding my Redd Foxx albums from my Mom when I was teen in the early '60s. They made the greatest albums to take to house parties. Had to play them on low so our parents couldn't hear.
I was heartbroken when my Mother confiscated them ~ only later to learn that she played them at parties with her girl friends! He was a man forall ages!
Redd was a funny man, funny man ,,, And, not so "blue" as we originally thought.
@afi hearts I don't know whether you're a male or female, but either way, my Mom was cool, but was a bit strict about us teens acting like ladies & gentleman
She used to say that we had all of our life to grow up, & just appreciate our adolescence. I thank her now, as she was right! I loved growing up in the late '50s & '60s!
BTW. How I found out about how she used the albums
~ She invited me to one of her for-girls-only parties, then gave the albums back to me!
@CarolAHess I totally agree, but I was raised by an artist and i was pretty grounded as a kid she took the time to break things down to me and it really wasn't a big deal, it helped me understand adults and the lies they tell children.LOL There was no way my mother was going to have an album like that with out being honest bout it I'm glad for that. I grow up in a different time then you did so I can see, that way of thinking back then would be different. My mom was very strict, but realistic
@CarolA Hess May be a difference in the times we grew up in, but I didn't mention that I bought the albums on the QT at age 14 (house party age). She wasn't upset about the language, but that I hid them.
My Mom was very open as we talked about everything, nothing was off-base.
When she confiscated them, she told me that when I could tell her why I hid them, I could have them back.
So I told her that I thought she wouldn't like language ~ that opened the door about a time & place for lanuage
Now this is Redd Foxx that ruled comedy. Nothing against Sanford and Son, but Redd Foxx's voice was smooth before the sitcom premiered in 1972. RIP Redd Foxx.
@mrpep1976 thats what I said lol it didnt sound like him.

Things were different in the past. You couldn't say things of a sexual natural on TV or radio back then. Redd used to be a handsome devil.
