i really like this design how long is yours im wanting to build somthing small but i want little more room to move around in maybe like a 13 foot one more room for gear and a spot for the bed. but need it for rough water not no ocean waves but u know strong lake wind waves.
What's the range with the electric motor? Have you tried a gasser yet? Maybe a 2 horse? Have you done any more cruising trips and how did they turn out? I really like the idea and just wanted to know about the reality of the execution?
Since I am designing from scratch, any thoughts about why the brick is better? For sure there is that curved bottom. I haven't decided how much to put in yet. I don't want to tackle the ocean, ;-), just don't want too tough a ride from boat wakes and the like. Great range. I was going to go with a small gas outboard, but may try the electric approach.
The dock box won't take rough water like this boat will. It probably has a little more room in it but I wanted something to be secure in rough water. You can go pretty far on a charge .....alot farther than you think.....on one 126 amp hour battery I went more than 30 miles...the batt wasn't dead yet.......slower is much better and you can go farther.........Robb
Hi....I love this boat....it is everything I thought it would be and more....yes it is small but I knew that going in......handles well and takes whatever waves you might encounter.........Robb

That is so cool. Bolgers brick is aka the tortoise which spawned the PD Racers is it not? Got any more vids, build pics or a website to share?

I have seen Michalak's DockBox, but thought I could make something that looks a bit nicer. I'll try to send you an image.
Any guesses how far you can get on a charge?

How has this worked out for you? I've been thinking of something like this myself!
