  • Hey, great video, mate. Really well done :) What's the name of the song used? 'Cause it's, like, PERFECT! :D

  • @KrazeePenguin - Thanks for your comments. I wrote the music for this - and also did the narration.

  • @davidmichaelgimes Wow that's awesome! Congrats! :)

  • This is the only video in YouTube about Uncle Walt where music e narration are in perfect sintony! Thanks from Brazil.

  • would love to use this in a PSA for school.

  • thanks a lot for this one :)

  • Great job! Love it.

  • why does it say that this video may not be suitable for minors???

  • @treehugger842 It's not suitable for minors because its real life-- the minds of our sheltered and growing youth shan't be sullied with the grimness of reality.

  • Poignant, moving, declarative, Whitman.

  • Yeah, I'd just like the mp3 audio file I you have it. C:

  • Why?

    Take care,

    David

  • Cuz I wanna put it on my cellphone, I like the voice of the person reciting the poem.

  • Still, what would prevent you from downloading it and stripping the audio?

    Take care,

    David

  • Haha, the fact that I don't know how to do that.

  • This is so beautiful. I really makes me wonder. Could I download an mp3 file of this, perhaps? (:

  • Very very beautiful Thankyou Can we have some more Whitman and other great American poets from you if this is indeed your own work 5 stars and into my favourites.

    Kind Regards

  • Thank you! Your voice is suited to Whitman's incredible writing. Have you listened to any of the other people on YT attempt to read him? They are horrible! No vocal fluctuation, no emotion, just plain, bland reading in plain, bland voice.

  • This is fabulous. Thanks for posting it!The narrator sounds like Liam Neeson.

  • I'm a huge Whitman fan. This is one of my favorite poems, but I don't care for the narration. I would rather read the text. Thanks for posting.

  • this is superb, i tried to write a clever wordy response... would have made me sound like an even bigger proto boho than my delusions allow.

but this was a pocket of perfection. thanks.

  • its a beauty.. can u send me the file?? pls i really love it..

  • beautiful.
