The caller may not have been logical, but he WAS reasonably intelligent. Remember, smart people can justify dumb beliefs very well. The whole "Christians are stupid" meme is factually wrong. (And remember, Matt was a Christian for quite some time. The whole problem with religion is that it bypasses and suppresses your intellect.)

And the caller was "going nuclear" by attacking the need for evidence; it works for EVERYTHING! I actually first heard it from someone who thought the Earth was flat.

im confused why people would like the first caller. his arguments aren't sound nor are they logical, and they demand the assumption he keeps repeating, which cant be assumed to be anymore relevant the the thousands of other gods created by man. IMO he's even more deluded than the super ignorant theists who dont know how to carry verse

This was one of the best episodes EVER! I felt the first caller was one of the more interesting callers and I hope he continues his dialogue with the Atheist Experience.
