  • no, thanks

  • uhm... not really fit

  • well, i've been playing jazz for a while through these years and i'm quite sure that THIS is NOT jazz, but just a be-bop version of moolight sonata, or just maybe an overture...

  • Do that with the third movement, LOL!

  • to straight to be jazz!

  • This is not jazz you idiots

  • @Davidsonraj Ops, thank you!, love you too!

  • ur sooo fucking shit, this makes me want to hurt myself

  • this can be very well used to torture :)

  • what kind of electronic piano is that ? i want one .. perhaps really good interpretation an style :D

  • Why is there no music like this on iTunes?

  • jazz, my a**...

  • ACE man!

  • great!!!jazz really does it!! :)

  • Sounds more "ragtime" to me than "jazz", but it sounds cool nonetheless.

  • @dlo693 Hardly ragtime, either... it has a slightly syncopated feel, but completely missing the bass drive to it...

  • Jazz... lol

  • You rock

  • thats all but jazz.

  • @SwZTuned indeed

  • rude behaviour

  • this saddens me that someone would make the moonlight sonata a beautiful song into jazz.

  • betthoven would have liked this ;)

  • this is no jazz, no blues, only some piece of pop arrangment or just nothing :P

  • who would ever thought that I'd like to dance with the moonlight sonata?

  • This is really cool! I just wish had some more chordal differences instead of just changing the meter. I wanted to see some 9th chords or dominant sevenths. Maybe do the same thing but add some jazz chordal color in. I really enjoy it though! :) This movement was the first classical piece I learned on the piano!

  • Um, you guys don't know what Beethoven would have thought, and it's rude and impetuous to think you do. Shut up and enjoy this excellent arrangement.

  • <3

  • Send partiture please

  • Beethoven is rolling over in his grave because you even thought about mocking his song.

  • @atorrand1 He can't hear it, genius. And it's not a song. It's a sonata. Derp.

  • I play the original version and really liked this. Looks fun. Is it just you doing free style or is there actual sheet music to this? Good job anyway :)

  • PEOPLE PEOPLE PLEEEEASE CALM DOWN!!! THIS IS AN AWESOME COVER DONE OVER A MASTERPIECE... ENJOY!!! BEETHOVEN PROBABLY BY HIS PERSONALITY WOULD HAVE WENT CRAZY AND AMAZED AT THE SAME TIME BECAUSE JAZZ DID NOT EXIST BY THAT TIME!!!! :O :D... MAYBE BEETHOVEN WOULD HAVE ENDED UP DOING JAZZ AND ROCK N' ROLL INSTEAD OF FUR ELISE OR MOONLITE SONATA HAHAHA :D... HILARIOUS!!!!

  • I think this was good. However , I believe that upon turning this piece into jazz you missed the whole spirit of it! This piece is meant to be mysterious, sad in some way, to my point of view! I believe you made it sound a bit happier than you should! That;s all from me :)

  • I wish you had a better mic! Sounds like a fantastic groovy thing and your playing was wonderful, but the cracky sound every now and then bothered me.

  • Ha! it's great! really fun.

  • Beautiful. I love classical and jazz. You found the right combination. I am totally lost when it comes to music. I love classical and jazz. You did good. Keep it up and let's hear more!

  • Excelent!

  • This is really good! At first I couldn't hear Moonlight Sonata in there and then bam! the gorgeous tune shone through. Excellent playing. Did you write this?

  • sounds way more like rag-time than jazz.

  • nice music, lose the basses a bit and it will be awesome, the main melody is lost in all that bambam or just get the bass part a bit higher

  • This would have been better if the lower octaves didn't drown out the higher ones. The actual rhythm was often hidden by the lower tones. Still, it was pretty well done outside of that.

  • Moonlight Sonata is one of my favorite pieces, and this made my day :)

  • Vile!

  • Never heard it like that before. Well done!

  • original is boring XD at least you made it funny

  • @kuromaid It's one of the best musicpieces ever written though :)

  • @shenkeey might be, but it's pretty overrated. There are many prettier pieces out there that no one cares about. Well okay, maybe it was kind of stupid of me to call it boring, but I just love to bash on it because of that reason.

  • @kuromaid Agreed 100%, I thought looking at your channel at first hand you were listening to pop-music mainly and therefore thinking classical music is boring; but i misjudged you, sorry :)

  • @shenkeey haha it's okay :)

  • really nice

  • Incredible Indeed!!! Your music talent is brilliant to convert an awesome song to this jazz rythm :)

  • It's good that Beethoven is dead as well as deaf so he can't hear what an abortion you have made of his music! Totally lacks any musicality. No dynamic range or rhythmic pulse. You might have well played the thing with a potato masher!

  • no

  • You definitely gave this a lot of thought & practice, but still trying to push a square peg into the triangle hole. Hitting a classical funeral march into a happy pop rythm is a heavy lift.

  • helge schneider would love it ;)

  • See the Biggest Threat to Parental Rights See on this site Documentry ....................Deconstructing America

  • You broke the sense of the Classical music. I didn't like it :(

  • cool

  • The only real music is humming BAAAHHH all these instruments have destroyed music!

  • It is true that it is not a real jazz rendition of the piece, though I admire your ability to find a way to make the music a little more original for your, or rather, our entertainment.

  • great effort and playing, but i prefer the original piece better:)

  • So funny !

  • This is great. I play piano and am having a hard time just playing it straight. For those who do not know the piano, I need to tell them what it takes to be able to play jazz. It is complex and takes a lot of practice and more talent then anything else. The meter in your head transferred to both bass and treble takes a lot of practice. I give this person so much credit.

  • that's not jazz version....you have any jazz voicings..that's really POP!

  • sounds a little different from moonlight sonata, but you are really good

  • Thumbs up to not see the red band

  • i wouldve apreciated it if it was a different song but you can't change moonlight sonata ever! nobody can!

  • I think that beetoven would be turning in his grave- he was very accurate in his notation..

  • Jazz? More like pop-verision.

  • @megadodd could I see your version of the song as jazz then Please?

  • @Paavelify I'm sorry that I cannot, I don't have any sort of recorder. It's just that playing the piece trying to make it jazzy, I wouldnt just take the broken chords, make them into..the original chords and still play only octaves in the bass. However, I'm not familiar with any sort of newschool jazz. So i'm just speaking through personal thoughts.

  • I think it was a really good attempt at it. Congrats.

  • I enjoy this, different but love it

  • holy CRAP. this is friggin amazingg!!! more jazz covers i say

  • this is soo coool well done!! :D

  • This is awesome!

  • Greattttttttttt

  • which movement is this

  • @muis786 First

  • This is great. reminds me of Touhou in a way

  • I love Jazz, and I love the Moonlight Sonata.

But this is cr-, just kidding, very good work, I occasionally come and listen to it, don't listen to haters...

  • mais quelle horreur...

  • I really enjoyed the variation of style :)

  • Boy—this guy really knows how not to swing.

  • Swing time, ftw

  • I'm not a jazz fan in the slightest but I was really impressed with this. Original, creative & a great take on a classic piece.

  • I think its good.

  • all u need is drums and a saxophone & this is jazz... fxck the haters who dont have an ear for music!

  • i ... dont know what to feel when i hear this, either sad (as for the original moonlight sonata) or dance (for the new jazzy feel to it ) XD

  • PLEASE GET A DRUMMER AND COVER THIS. Its awesome! But its also begging for percussion!

  • :) I usually dont like jazz....but this is lovely.

  • Brilliant!

  • what movement was this supposed to be?

  • WOW beautifully done!!!

  • somehow it reminded me of street fighter song.

  • @adbanor I thought the same thing! haha I love it

  • hahaha bullshit !!!

  • I like it, way to be creative brah. keep it up!(:

  • It's creative but I think I like the original version a LOT better.

    This version kills the mood...

  • jazz is bollox

  • fail

  • I wouldn't really call this jazz...

  • @bkgangstapianist well the only other thing it could be is Swing... and Swing definitely derived from Jazz... so yea...

  • @chickun1soup80 But it isn't Swing. It's a prearranged version of a classical piano piece. It's choppy and it completely killed the mood. It didn't enhance anything about the song. It's not improvised, and if it is, it's very poor job of improvising because it's the same thing over and over.

  • @bkgangstapianist u say its not swing, probably millions of other people might say that it is swing- big deal... it's whatever u want it to be. whatever it sounds like to u whatever floats ur boat! i have an ear for music and im calling it swing. i mean wtf else r u gonna compare it to? it HAS 2 fall in2 a category.personally, i like it. that's my opinion. u have ur opinion and neither of our opinions are wrong. it's not a big deal. please bigger things to worry about.Amy Winehouse just died...

  • @chickun1soup80 you enjoyed it because you don't have an ear for music. There were parts that could have been good but just didn't get through right. It had no dynamic and the feel just kept going and going. It never swung. And Amy Winehouse dying is relevant to this conversation how? If it falls into a category, call it pop. That's what it really is

  • @bkgangstapianist

I can't stand arrogant music snobs. I had a listen to your version of "Someone to watch over me". If anyone can mutilate a beautiful piece of music it is you. What's the matter with your foot? Stuck to the sustain pedal was it?

  • @ThePainRemover I couldn't agree with you more. Note that the video is very old, and I will also admit to having a broader knowledge about music that goes beyond my playing abilities, but I don't see how being able to play or not play should matter. What about sports critics like Skip Bayless who probably have no athleticisim whatsoever but get paid big bucks to talk sports. But thanks for making a note about my poor quality of playing. I appreciate it.

  • impressive!!!!!!!!

  • to view my latest piano composition search "Ballade of the Stars". Click on first video. I hope it moves you in some way

  • this is so good!

  • I made Canon in D jazz version. I think you guys might like it. It's in my channel. U can find the sheet music aswell.

  • i bet that Beethoven would kill you now for this.

  • @ReyNification haha he's rollin in his grave huh?

  • @ReyNification Actually, Beethoven was a pretty far-seeing musical figure. He spanned the gap between the Classical and Romantic periods, and some of his later works were far more than contemporary audiences could handle (see his string quartet "Große Fuge," for example). Some of his later piano works had rhythms approaching boogie-woogie. Finally, improvisation was extremely common in the Baroque and Classical periods and phased out during the Romantic. His approval might not be so strange.

  • Jazz is shit. Jazz interpretations of classical pieces is even shittier.

  • @Xopher30 Its not fair to say that to someone being creative and new with a classic piece.. I would love to see what you can do in music b4 dissrespecting sum1 else's music

  • @Xopher30 Well, Mr. Xopher, I'm sure the shit you listen to is shit if you think this is shit, because whatever shit you listen to kind of started with this shit; therefore you are making fun of the shit soup that spawned your shit. Of course, maybe if your mind was open instead of filled with shit, you'd learn that no music is shit, including the shit you and I both listen to. In fact, by calling this shit you are calling creativity in general shit, which is shitty all-around for all music fans

  • @dylandhaene never seen a comment with so much shit in it that was still so convincing

  • @dylandhaene I'm not sure you're first sentence makes any sense. The original comment never slighted the quality of ?Beethoven's original work. Just this pretty overall, shitty version. In fact, since that first sentence is the basis for your argument, everything else just falls apart after that. And Music can be shit. you take a pretty big leap of faith to claim creativity and shit music are correlated. Some things are shitty- and some things are crazy creative. Just how things work

  • @dylandhaene hmmm something ab

    out shit I presume

  • @dylandhaene Thats a whole lotta SHIT!!! D:

  • @dylandhaene cool story bro......

  • @dylandhaene i concour with this shitty reasoning

  • you just had to fuck it right up, didn't you?

  • pierde el sabor de lo clasico de la pieza musical

  • you destroy a masterpiece

  • very cool

  • JA K WENNOO

  • I like it

  • Have I said already that this is brilliant?!!!!

  • just great! you could listen to my own salsa version of Rachmaninoff's Prelude op 2 =D

  • cool

  • type dirty mozarts in google you'll find something called "lick my arse" what a CRACKer get it CRACKer

  • actually some of mozartz work whene translated are actually worser thene eninem in terms of profanity.. i recall reading about it in a paper, i cant remember fully but i do know it was about rimming..if you dont know what rimming is google it.

  • honestly i can see you're a great piano player, i just cant really see this song jazzy.

  • D:

  • YOU TOOK THE SOUL :S

  • i can see how your trying to do a more boogie woogie rhythm but i feel it could have been jazzier if you altered the chords a bit, adding major and minor 7ths and all

  • omg i cant believe how awesome this is

  • ditan sin lay kah eih se takhuat lu be

  • I hear a lot the original, and this is really jazzy!!!

    I like a lot!!! Nice job!!! =D

  • Lovely, but it kinda misses the emotion expressed in the original thing. Still, brilliant!

  • @TheToeProject Well of course it changes the emotion of it. Rhythm is a large part of what is being expressed throughout a piece. And with such a dramatic change in that as well as in the dynamics as there were in this variation, you can't expect for the feelings behind it to remain unchanged. Besides, isn't the whole point of making a variation such as this to change what the audience feels?

  • wtf is this

  • Cool! :)

  • Kinda has a ragtime feel too it

  • realy realy nice!!! you are good !! sei bravo!!

  • 1,699 people dont have rhythm

  • Good job dude really good

  • Strange, but I like it hahaha. Good job.

  • Not bad at all. But I don't think that's a jazz version. It doesn't sound jazzy at all. But it's a good interpretation.

  • Amazing :D nice swing.

  • Mozart didn't write this. Beethoven wrote this. For a woman he was deeply in love with who married someone else. In part because her family didn't think we was good enough for her - he was "just a musician", ewwww.

  • And the occasional wank.... of course.

  • I'm interested in all different types of music, but I am especially protective of Beethoven because he is the inspiraton of most of my art. But this I find is a beautiful re write of it! It's very hard to find a rewritten piece this good, especially with sliding it from one genre to another. Kudos!

  • Możesz grać na pianinie bardzo dobrze! I trochę wolą oryginalej wersji, ale to jest fantastyczne inaczej.

  • vampires playing Moonlight Sonata?? and in Jazz version?? well bro, you got talent and its sound very cool.. Salute!!

  • this could easily be the new beatles song.

  • I can hear the keys being struck :-) passion?

  • PERFECT

  • I'm not a big jazz fan, but that was nice. :)

  • 1686 People have no passion for music ;-)

  • @scillacone you do realize that I was replying to someone else about the sex, drugs, violence and not disparaging this performance - right? What I replied to originally looks to have been removed so you're now reading out of context. Read the freakin' history of this piece if you think it has nothing to do with sex, love, passion, lust, and - particularly - a specific woman at a specific time and place. The performers interpretation doesn't change the origin of the work.

  • i thought music was all about freedom of expression? So why would Beethoven be rolling in his grave for this rearrangement of his music. If anything i would think he would applaud this persons talent as a musician? I thought it was great. This is not destroying this piece of music in anyway. It's more like an interpretation.

  • i love the intro

  • fala sério... Beethoven se revirou no túmulo...

  • Cheers to a fellow musician! I thoroughly enjoyed this! Check out my INvention 4 jazz rendition if you get a chance =)

  • :D I LOVE YOU1

  • cool
