  • heyyy dis is soo cute.. but how come he's outtsidee?? I mean im sure they fly awayy when outsside... Mine did :(

  • What a cute, lively little guy! He reminds me of the budgie I had growing up.

  • LOL I played this while my budgie was beside me and he went crazy!!!

  • cant believe it dose not fly arround i have a pet budgie called billy

  • beautiful

  • @1QueenMom1 It's harder to get two budgies who've been interacting with each other to interact with you. Usually, if people want to be really close with their budgies, they keep just one. However, I'm sure it's possible. About.Com has lots of helpful guides on birds... I'm thinking about getting one and that is my trunk for research.

  • weswo fligt der net weg echt geiler vogel WELLENSITTICH

  • wow he looks so exited

  • Comment removed

  • He's not only singing, hes dancing!

  • @1QueenMom1 WOW, the previous owners weren't nice at all!! Start with putting your hand next to the cage for 10 minute sessions every day, reading a book or listening to quiet music. Do these sessions 6 times a day. Put your hand closer each day, and then on top of the cage, then inside it on the bottom perch. This all should take around 8 days. Ignore the if they panic, they'll get used to your hand! Then give them food in your hand, and on the 18th day, let them out!

  • @1QueenMom1 3 years is a long time for a budgie to get used to its environment. They don't know what it's like to fly around. Not sure how easy it is to lure them out. They're probably scared of humans. If they do come out, be really careful about windows. Even with them closed they might bump into them.

  • Hes Adorable ... May be you could help me here since you have such a beautiful one ..

i baught two budgies from a pet shop who said they are about 12 weeks old. I've had them for about two weeks now i put them in a relatively large cage with fresh seeds and water. they are lovely and they seem to get along but they get a little bit scared when i approach them or when i put my hand in their cage. and they sing only for a few minutes ans then they go quite.. so is there anything wrong??

  • @alhilou Yea if they are nervous they usually stop chirping. Usually if you get a few budgies and put them in a cage they mingle amongst themselves stay wary of humans.

  • My budgie was happily singing until she heard this. Then it was just a look of 'WHOA! That's not my voice!' on her face. Then she began calling. xD

  • извините нашли ли его хозяева? я могу взять

  • that is a beautiful bird

  • nice bird

  • My budgies used to be so timid. One time I sneezed and they were PETRIFIED.

  • @pavington1000 lolll

  • Your budgie is soo adorable, but in soooo much danger!! If he loves being outside, please build him an aviary where he can at least be safe, if he takes off, the wild birds will rip him to bits, and even if he dosent take off, he is so vulnerable to other flighted or none flighted predators. His safety and well-being is totally in your hands, I can see he looks so healthy and well cared for, please dont let him down over this one issue!

  • @AnnieBirdy Don't worry. We have a net surrounding the roof. He's perfectly safe, people just can't see the set up in this video. (:

  • @charmybird Oh thats wonderful, thankyou sooo much for telling me. I worry myself silly over our precious feathered friends! xxx

  • beautiful budgie and not poor budgie

  • Hes adorable! Just to say that even though he doesnt fly away.. just be a little bit careful e.g. a car back fire or a random loud noise or even a cat could scare him off and you would lose him. Most budgies are lost and fly even higher because of wind etc.. most dont come back as they dont know their way back but since your bird is used to this it may not happen like that.

Just to say that others shouldnt do this just incase.

    Hes a beautiful bird!!!

  • @jf786 Don't worry he's "outside" but he's really on an enclosed roof. (:

  • @charmybird fantastic!! Well done for being such a good owner :D Im sorry I ever doubted you

  • it this your bird

  • @kke150 Yup!

  • @charmybird wasome how do u get it to tallk so much

  • @kke150 He's happy and relaxed (:

  • man i cant get my budgie to come out of the cage and she is tame but a stray cat got my other two budgie's she hasn't been the same since what should i do please help

  • Rihannaa0,

The head thing..... It's called "dancing" birdie style. Just means he's happy! 8^ )

  • oh yeah. Why is he doing that with he's head? My budgie does that too, is it something wrong with him? o_o

  • @Rihannaa0 They do that when they are relaxed and happy.

  • Did you clipp he's wings?

    Poor budgie, ):

  • @Rihannaa0 Actually, he can technically fly away if he wanted to, but he doesn't. His wings are full but he has no intention to leave. We've had him since birth.

  • @charmybird Aha!

But if (for example I) do clipp my budgies winges, does they grow back? o.o

    hehe..

  • @Rihannaa0 clipped wings do grow back.. there are disadvantages and advantages to this.

  • tchip tchip

  • My budgie is sitting next to me hes in training ;] he does this also.

  • My bird does that too!!! soooo cuttee lol!!!

  • beautiful budgie,my budgie loves this.if i may,wat happened to his foot?

  • it's hidden inside its feathers. birds do that sometimes

  • strange lol

  • My bird always does that! It's so cute. (:

  • Every budgie sleeps with one leg. If it's sleeping with both, something's wrong with it.

  • why isnt he escaping

  • Clipped-wings.

  • 8D aw, I just got tw new birdies so my other one isn't lonely and they started chiping happily listening to this.

  • My bird flew away : ( but then my sister snd I ran after her and caught her. Of course your budgie has clipped wings, Very cute video.

  • You made my bird happy :P !

  • my budgie actually speeks 2 me and he spoke to this 1!

  • why is he outside

  • lol! my parakeet, Preemo heard that and he started chirping like that! lol!

  • my budgie was outside too but it was comming back to us =)

  • He sure has a lot to tell you about lol, what a happy bird.

  • Is it ouside, in your garden???

    Ö___Ö

  • is it outside?? how come it doesn't fly off?

  • maybe he does want to leave

  • probably cause its wings are clipped....or it's tamed not to fly off

  • wheres its leg =( poor birdy

  • =) His leg is tucked up into his feathers. My budgie often slept like that for hours!

  • ooo okay lol

  • Yeah, this is the most comfortable position for them when they are sleeping or relaxed. Mine do it too and they sing along before they sleep. Really cool :)

  • he's standing on one foot, my budgies do that too

  • Nothing wrong with clipping???

    A bird needs to fly!!!

  • Well, if a bird needs to fly, then why do we put them in cages?

For some people they clip the wings for safetys sake. Like I said, its a personal decision, and it does not hurt the bird at all.

  • Just cos we put them in cages doesn't mean they can't fly. i let my budgies out for like 4 hours a day or more!

A bird is born with wings, its like strapping you in a wheelchair when you got perfectly healthy legs and sayin there ya go - just so ya dont go running off. still up to you i guess. i don't agree that it doesnt hurt the birds self esteem - not being able to do what they are naturally born to do.

  • Yes, my bird is 6 or more hours a day out of his cage and that is much better than clipping his wings

  • Well done, nice bird !

  • poor thing.. i bet his wings are screwed so that he cant fly

  • There is nothing wrong with clipping a birds wings. Its a personal decision for the owner if they only want the bird to be able to fly to a certain height.

  • O.o well ill cut off your legs and say.. theres nothing wrong with it... its a personal decision for the owner if they only want you to be able to run with maximium 10 km/h -.-

  • awsome

  • Is he missing his leg, or just holding it up? (Mine does that often...)

  • his holding it up lots of budgies do that cuz there going to sleep usually.

  • i play this to my budgie and he is happy, he sings with this budgie together :D,

  • Did you find him?

  • male nice me too!

  • BUDGIE SO NICE!

  • Sweety

  • How adorable!

  • I'm thinking it's a wild budgie in Australia too. My friend can get pretty close to a lot of human-familiar budgies picking for bread.

  • This is actually not in Australia, it's in Hong Kong, in an enclosed roof, and he's my pet (:

  • It looks like he's missing a leg? He's very cute!!

  • budgies do that to keep warm

  • yea all budgies do that when theyre ready to sleep

  • did you get his wings clipped?

  • His wings were clipped back then but not anymore. He has no intention to leave, so it's okay to let him fly around the roof.

  • cute

  • oh, the budgie is outside!!!

    it is fantastick

  • I'm wondering why he's outside, too. Although he sings so pretty! Maybe it's in

    Australia where they live wild??

  • he is very special and pretty.

  • Your bird is so beautiful ;]

  • how come its outside? it mite fly away

  • It's probably trained or got its wings clipped.

  • It's probably wild, where they are in Australia. Flocks of them. It is a sight to see!

  • mine has fun time with his mirrors and he thanks its a femail bird so he will puke up some of his already eaten food and gives it to the mirrors.

  • It dosn't have to be that he thinks its a female budgie, they puke up food for friends too, but yea it could think its a female budgie too xD Budgies ftw

  • go figure! lol!

  • aww its sooo cute<3

  • help i cliiped my new bird wing and it started to bleed like i had three bird which i clipped before n it never happen like this like i feel sorry for my bird i need some help

  • go to the vet

  • lol thats not good. they can die from the slightest loss of blood...especiall if they get a cut on their feet or if they break a nail fAR BACK and bleed THEILL DIE.. its crazy..

  • sooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute!!!!

  • looks like its resting its leg :D

  • well a parakeet can lift its leg becuz that means he/she is comfortable.or unless he/he had an injured leg

  • does he/she have both legs cuz i only saw one

  • Well....

The parakeet has 2 legs..But since they have to stand on them all day, they get tired so they rest their leg but not standing on it and hiding it beneth their feathers.

  • Standing on one leg is a sign of good health, no?

  • Yea, its sometimes a good sign!

  • My girl budgie always tucks in her leg at night

    its really cute!

  • ciò è un piccolo parakeet carino

  • my bugdie is very talkative! ^^ he's always playing w/ his bell!

  • my parakeet does the same head flicking thing and head bobbing its funny. ^_^

  • my budgies hate this vid they scream and run away

  • what a beautyful color!

  • i have a budgie:) they are so nice when they sing.. hey my budgie just started chirping to iy!!

  • I can escape

  • Cute budgie, Can it be outside without escape?

  • it's wings are probably clipped

  • budgies can still fly with clipped wings, just not as well

  • I had a budige i could take outside without clipped wings.

  • soo cute

  • is it a wild parakeet? nomatter, is too cute

  • This is not a wild parakeet.

  • I always thought this was how they talked to themselves. Lol so cute.

  • aww he sings cute!

  • lol btw this is like my newest budgie its so cute i got it when it was like 1 y.o

  • my parakeets like this video!

  • whys he only have one foot?

  • Because Budgies usually tuck one foot into their feathers for warmth, or typically to rest it.

  • omg... my budgie does that but i dunno wat he does singing r try to innoy sum1 but i still luv them they are so beatiful

  • Notice he only has 1 foot.

  • Actually he has two. Anyone with a parakeet (or a basic knowledge of birds in general) knows that they like to retract one of their feet to give it a rest every once in a while.

  • I reckon thats soo cute my budgie does that when he goes to sleep too :D

  • When I played your video, my budgie started responding right away.

  • he sings bcoz hes so happy hes out of the cage....

  • I don't know about you, but the parakeet I happen to have showed up in my yard one day, I talked him out of the tree and made him part of the family after EXHAUTIVELY searching for his real home. I clipped his wings immediately. He had had them clipped but just enough feathers grew back for him to fly away. Keep up on this if you don't want to risk losing your baby! Mine is almost as lucky as I am that he came to my yard!

  • Many of my budgies are rescued, either by me or other people who then gave them to me. I don't like clipping their wings, and I live in an apartment where they have a room of their own so there is little chance of escape, but if there is any risk your bird could escape, do clip. Even brief exposure to wild birds can cause a tame bird to sicken and die.

  • Ye my dads friend looks and breeds budgie,s she sells them and makes sure there ok and protected from cats

Theres a cute baby 1 But its got 0 Feathers so it looks wierd lol

  • How do you take your budgie outside?! You're so lucky. My budgie is so spastic. We've had her for months and she doesn't like coming out of her cage for some reason. My moms friend whom is another animal lover said she may feel more secure in there..

But you're so lucky to take her out! I wish my little budgie behaved like that.

  • u no wuts really weird? i got a parakeet from petsmart today, not hand reared or specially tame, and he is at this very moment, sitting on my finger snoozing, from the min i got him home, he sits on my finger and sholder and everything, good luck with you baby

  • i got one from petco three days ago, and he will jump to me, and chirp too. I guess we are just lucky to get the goody-two-shoes. ;)

  • i wish my was like that i got one about 1 week ago and it still scared of me

  • keep handling it and playing wih him he will come to you

  • the best thing 2 do if u want it 2 like u is take it out of the cage and teach it stuff let it sit on ur shoulder and stuff like that and it will after a while trust u really well like my 4 budgies do

  • my budgies also started off biting my finger until they bleed and u get the message it hurt heaps but now the like u heaps after u play with em and teach em stuff try it see if it likes u it should work and btw if it flies away frm u trim its wings back a bit it stops it frm getting away frm u so u cant catch it

  • And whatever you do, don't grab them. I know they're so cute and cuddly, but it will pay off in the end when they really trust you.

  • hes sooo pretty!!!!! mine is sky blue on his belly and has a bright yellow head!

  • I tried taking my budgie outside she likes it....

  • Just be very careful. Not only is there a danger she could escape, but exposure to wild birds can be deadly to a tame bird.

  • Ye how the hell u get ur budgie 2 stay still i scared cuz my budgie crash lands everywere once he hit the Tv!!!!!! i scared also cuz my budgie could fly into the fire place i dont want that

O and my Budgie is the same colour as This 1 He called Kimmy cuz i thought he was a girl lol

  • Yeah, unless you want to clip their wings, letting them out of the cage can be dangerous. I only clip my budgies wings when I first get them and am training them. RE names: I like to use Italian names, like Papageno, Tamino, etc. If they turn out to be a girl, you just change the final "o" to an "a" and it's feminine! So it's Papagena and Tamina.

  • if you give your bird a freind they will be less freindly with you so think carfuly im a expert on birds ask me if u gt any questions

  • I have had my budgie now for several months now and cannot get him out of the cage. the most i can do is rub his belly and scratch his neck (only sometimes tho) how do i get him more tame???

  • well if he put his other fut up he would fall down X) lol nice vid i have 3 budgies

  • do you know that when birds bop their heads up and down like that it means they are showing affection? Either the bird just had instinct popup, or (most likely!)your bird loves you! :)

  • that is so cute!!! *missing my old birdies!*

  • WHOA! Time out! Get that cutie in an enclosure.

  • we have a screen house thing but i am still scared he would get out never to be seen again .I would love to do this .I did with the wings cliped when we first got him but never again.I like it when he flys he lands on my sholder and says what's ya doin to cute.

  • Mine Budgie Goes out side, But he cant even fly yet. When he was a baby he got them clipped.

  • I have a budgie too. :) But... I dont think I can do what you did with ur budgie. Let him outside... WoW ! How do you train them to stay outside? Can u give us a link with a special site with suggestions?

  • Aww, I love the way budgies sit on one leg when they're relaxed:D

  • Where's his other foot?

  • He's resting it so he puts it up in his feathers.

  • wow u could let him out. i wish i could do that with my birds :)

  • it looks exactly like my bird!
