Being a ceramics teacher, you should know that there are at least 240 different methods of doing things. This is just one perfectly acceptable method, and it is only a tutorial for beginners. So, there is no need for hostilities.
Again, this is not a standard way to "Key In"... nor is it advisable to take a depth measure using your finger and thumb as you did because if you look at your video, you are actually deeper than you think. Opening up and using a Pin Tool to take a depth measure is better and more accurate.

BTW, I am a High School Ceramics Teacher. I teach this to 240 students a year.
