No talent needed for that, but don't get me wrong, still theres loads of work needed to sort it all out like you did. You definately know your shit dude and big plus for that.
Some things do not sound good togather, like for example Billy Jean with Prodigy, but overal it's pretty awesome. Keep up the good work :)
WTF ... Its cool for the Bedroom but that would be to difficult to do drunk. Too much to look at on the screen when you should be watching your croud. And thats if your eyes are even open.
you've probably had a million people tell you about how important practice is.... you obviously listened, man you absolutely nailed it, this is funky as hell
Next to the Trigger Finger is a Behringer BCR2000 Midi Controller. A total recall Desk with 32 illuminated rotary encoders with several banks programmable.
Used live by likes as Daft Punk in their famous "Pyramid Show" & Guy Gerber.
Its a great piece of a kit!!
In the 2nd part of the video at 9:22 it's shown in close up, i marked the parts i programmed with colors & explained what i do with each knob in the information box to the upper right, check it out ;)
With Ableton i'm not using a mixer. To mix two beats together without getting a mess in the lower frequencies i use the "Moldover Ducking", he explains that in his Video "Approach to Controllerism" > see at my favourites. Pads on my trigger finger define which is the dominating track.
My Samples are all prepared so everythings ready to jam around.
As a hardware mixer I got the Pioneer DJM800 at home.
kick ass
