My great grandparents had a small raw milk dairy. They had to shut it down when pasteurization came along. But I always heard about how good raw milk tasted. I was always told that raw milk would not spoil as quickly as the pasteurized. This had to be the case since most folks didn't have refrigeration/ice boxes.
They were treated like criminals BECAUSE THEY ARE CRIMINALS. They were operating the store ILLEGALLY, THEY HAD NO LICENSE! Thats a CRIME! They ARE criminals! They all PLEADED GUILTY! WTF man!

It's a private contract, whether that is illegal or not in CA is yet to be determined. It's legal in other states known as cow shares or goat shares.
