Intercooler hoses popping off is a quick fix, pending the motor is tight. New hoses, new clamps fixd. However, if the motor is tired, the oil in the up pipe will just seep back in and they pop. 24 years of stomping Mustangs into the ground will do that you know.

@000x7 They probably weren't Terminator Cobras then. I raced one in my 06 M6 GTO and it beat me pretty damn good, we both launched good too. Even beat me from a roll. Buddies 99 T/A has raced the few we have in town and got walked pretty hard. Stock the Cobras are a little quicker than F-Body's, but even just a exhaust, pulley swap, and tune you can have 450rwhp in the 03-04 SVT's (Yes I've seen it done) . The engine is able to hold 800 on stock internals, and are easy to get 500+ out of them.

I ran a 12.9 1/4 in my 99 Z28 6spd bone stock! now have Minor bolt ons but I have not taken it back to the track yet. Work and full time College kinda fucks up your schedule for fun! I have seen stock terminators run high 13s before. And you can say bad driver, but not every car has a good driver! Driver error can make or break you in racing! You don't race the other car, you race the other driver!

That's an impressive time you hit in you're Z28 man. I agree with you to a T it's not just the car, you race the driver. But If you lined up a WS6/SS and a Terminator, and they both made perfect, flawless, fastest it can run 1/4 the Terminator on paper would win. Real life it's always gonna be different. No one is perfectly consistent.

@RiceKiller191 Yes you are right, technically on paper a perfect run between an 02 SS or 02 WS.6 and a 03 Cobra, Cobra would win, but only by about .2 to .3 so barely a nose! But they won't be perfect runs, with human drivers a race between a stock cobra and a LS1 F-Body, it's a driver error race! And what really funny is that during the years of Camaro, Camaro beat mustang! But in 03, After the Camaro had been suspended, they Supercharged the Cobra. B/c the N/A couldn't keep up with the LS1.

For under $1500 you can sit at 450whp And if you really want to sink some cash in it, throw a Kenne Bell on her, or compoud boost it with the Helion Hellraiser turbo kit. They can make INSANE power, even on stock internals.

If I supercharged my Camaro or Turbo charged it I would spend alot less than you would to KB your Cobra and I would still spank you! My buddy has a Maggy SC camaro running 7PSI and he has 600RWHP, another friend of mine has a 04 Cobra runny 17, 17 PSI and he only had 505RWHP! The Camaro runs 10s and the Cobra runs 12s! And I have many more examples to go on. LS engines have huge potential

@AdrenalineJunky17 Oh I know man. I am a die hard F-Body fan and love LS1's so I'm not raggin on them at all! The reason why I'd take a Termi is they come stock with forged internals, and can reliably run 700hp. It just depends on the build. SVT's can make more hp for less money. The KB Cobra we have in town straight up walked my buddy's TT C5. Of coarse the guy is pushin out 650+whp and my buddy is only at 500 untuned and at 6psi. Both are phenomenal engines in my book.
