But after I graduated and started working and traveling throughout the world I discovered that I was actually in the majority. Most men in the world are uncircumcised just like me. I'm so glad I have my foreskin! I was usually the only uncircumcised guy in school ... always felt awkward in gym classes. But after I graduated and started working and traveling throughout the world I discovered that I was actually in the majority. Most men in the world are uncircumcised just like me. The U.S. is the exception although we seem to be cutting back (pun intended) on the number of newborn males that go through that awful, unnecessary procedure.

It is a moot point and highly subjective, but I do not regard (as some seem to) male circumcision as mutilation. I am circumcised and very proud to be so - I thank my parents for having taken this decision on my behalf. I'm not Jewish(or Muslim) either: I'm Catholic. I grew up in an upper-middle class background where it was the norm to be done at the time.

If you want to be circumcised as an adult then go ahead. But leave baby penises alone. Most intact men do not choose to get circumcised as adults, and in intact societies there is usually no desire or urge to do so. It is of course different for intact guys in the USA, which loves genital mutilation.

@haseebgood You're the idiot here. Not a single medial organization in the world recommends circumcision, noting that there are zero proven prophylactic qualities. Circumcision has not only no proven benefits, it also has proven damages. It reduces sexual sensitivity for the man and pleasure for his partners. According to the world's medical colleges, circumcision is a cosmetic procedure and not medially advisable. There is no reason to circumcise infants or 3-4 year old boys

The reason why Americans are circumcised is because they have a market-based healthcare system where doctors get lots of money by doing that. I bet for lots of doctors, they probably want to circumcise one person twice if they get to. That way they get paid more money. Most people who were circumcised after their infancy (basically they remember things) hated circumcision for the loss of sensation.

I'm not in favor of circumcision but I have to say, I'm not circumsized and I don't have more feeling there than someone who is. In fact, I'm not very much sensitive at all. There are many factors to consider and everybody's different. Don't believe that you'd automatically have much more feeling if you weren't circumsized, it's not necessarily true. It can be, but it's not always.
