In Arabic we call it the same, in Turkish it is Leyla ve Mecnun, in Arabic it is Layal wa Al-Majnoon or Majnoon Layla, and the same meaning as in Turkish which means Layla and the Mad.

Oh this is sooooo beautiful it brings tears to my eyes. Admittedly I don't understand Arabi, but I think it "sounds" much lovelier than English. As a young girl my did would take me to musicals every summer (in Dallas, Tex.) I was looking for Desert Song and came upon your site. I so love middle eastern music but have been "stuck" with what I can hear on Paltalk. I have never heard anything like this in my life. Shokran for introducing me to such music...it is beyond description.

لا تعلم مدى فرحتي حينما رأيت نص الشعر الذي أرسلته لي، لا تعلم كم حاولت الحصول عليه وحاولت كثيرا أن أكتبه على لسان موسيقار الأجيال لكن الأمر لم يكن سهلا حيث أن التسجيل كان قديما كما تعرف.

لقد حاولت أن أفسر الكلمات بالصور لكنني عدلت عن رأيي لأن ليس جميع المشاهدين الكرام ممكن أن يعرفوا النص وخصوصا الزائر غير العربي وسوف يجد غرابة في الأمر لكني حاولت أن أفعل شيئا بسيطا جدا وهو لو أنك لاحظت في عبارة (إذا طاف قلبي حولها) للمرة الثانية تظهر صورة قلب خلف الصورة،
