I have only ever seen a Gila Monster in the wild 4 times in my life. I am from Tucson originally and the first experience was when one clamped it's jaw down on our cat.

@chiclebomb I recently went on holiday in tuscon and we went to some wildlife area or cactus palce somewhere near,We encountered a gila monster and from what i've read they're not agressive well we saw it from our car and we got out and took some pictures we were maybe a metre and a half away and it began slowly and sluggishly moving towards us and began to move quite fast towards us and it bit on my dad's hand . So scary
