I think Picardo is just kind of feeling 'shy', for want of a better word...she's complimenting them left and right so it could result in that. He might not be as open with his emotions as Ethan Phillips is.

aww...i felt a tear :) even though it wasn't her, but her character, that was a female Captain...she was my hero, and still is. through those difficult jr. high years, captain Janeway taught me that i don't have to take crap from people just because i'm female, and i have just as much a right as anyone to be respected by my peers. i was introduced to Star Trek by accident, but i know it was for a purpose :) thanks for posting this!
