  • The rocker wold have been huge if you went with the pushrod system. But i like the idea of the mock up. Keep up the good work

  • congratulations, i like how did you try your ifs, i mean it's a great solution do it regulable with these drills.

  • Thanks, cxd. I learned as much watching the video as I did in person. Watch the measuring stick on the shock and the measuring stick on the spindle, and you can really see the ratios working, with zero math. I got fancy with the test rig, but someone could do the same thing with duct tape and cardboard.

  • So have you gone back to the pushrod design?

  • No...I posted this video was shortly before I gave up on the pushrod system. Not to say it wouldn't work, but I ran into yet one more little snag and was tired of fooling with it, and was in a hurry to finish the car for an arbitrary deadline, so I just slapped some outboard coilovers on and it was a done deal. I may come back to the pushrods on my next build....we'll see.

  • May I ask what the other snag was ?? , cause I`m really interested in an on oboard suspension system on my locost project.. and I`m yet to decide between a pushrod type, or a rocker upper arm type
