  • Sweet never thought of that

  • Amazing technique! What a wonderful way to make a loop without a knot!

  • i learned that from a guy on youtube called Colhane. he does mission work in Brazil, but he didn't show the fraying of the cordage at the end. great vid.

  • Yeah he has some GREAT videos... really nice guy too. Thanks for commenting!

  • Your videos are awesome, follow a natural progression and are 'uber' educational. Thanks for sharing your knowledge so unselfishly!!!

  • Many thanks! I really appreciate the compliment and I am so glad that you are finding the videos to be of benefit... stay tuned!

    Kind regards,

    Paul

  • I just watched this video and thought, "Hey that looks just like the one I do!" Then I read the comments. I normally use the doubled over end of hand made cordage for this splice and pass the free end through it for added strength. I like the way you got rid of the last little bit. Very clear instruction.

  • I had missed the first part of the video as I had the sound off...

  • Nice! I have since figured out your method and I like it a lot more becasue it is WAY stronger... thanks for spreading the knowledge!

  • great job on this video

  • Thanks folks! Glad you like the video... the lean-to forum is not a public forum or I would definitely post the link... however the guy that showed me this posts a lot on YouTube and his ID is Colhane... lots of good videos on his account!
