I tried this build out for the first time today (yes, I know, 2 years late to the party) - I'm unable to get them to ball correctly using the location shown in your video, but comparatively I had near perfect success when using the eastern wall. Just thought I'd point that out o.O the angle of the east wall seems to be sharper and make them converge better.
Are you still able to do this after all the recent updates? I can't pull it off anymore, but I don't know if that's because I'm a bit rusty from lack of playing, or if Anet nerfed it.
@squibb77 Yes, this still works over 3 years later! I suggest practicing more. The key to this farm is gathering all the Stygians in one clump. Go to the Isle of Nameless with your traps to see their area of effect, and trap at the radius of your trap's range from the stone wall so your traps cover as wide a range as possible. Another thing you can try is reserving a Barbed Trap at the end to drop if a few of them ignore the spirit or manage to make it past the traps for whatever reason.
@AnyRei The name is: The Miracle, from the Xenosaga original soundtrack, by Yasunori Mitsuda.
@Maxxer011: Now you know why I bring a hero with a res. You can change the build to use Trapper's Speed instead of Serpent's Quickness and keep a Barbed Trap in reserve for the pull. If any Hunger(s) break off to chase you, you may have time to drop the trap and cripple them so you may escape. The timing and execution will vary slightly from that of this video if you use Trapper's Speed.
can you tell me what I'm doing wrong? I put all your traps just like you do in the video, I hot the equipment everything, but when I'm done trapping and aggro them , some of them get to die, some pull back, and one always stays alive and keeps chasing me. Am I aggroing the wrong hunger or bad trap position? I trap them identicly as you do.
Cool, I stopped playing for quite a while, andI was just checking what rangers could still do after the update to how aggro broke, which I discovered in Rekoff's cave, much to my dismay. We still have a few options, and props for the epic Xenosaga music.
ikhebl0l, I removed your comment by mistake instead of the reply link. You asked if By Ural's Hammer could be better than Flame Trap. Try it out; I don't know. If there is enough damage without Flame and with BUH, then Ether Signet can probably be replaced with Muddy Terrain to make wave 2 easy.
By Ural's Hammer works in Flame Trap's spot, if you time it exactly right. If all the traps activate during BUH's effect, then everything dies. Too late or too early, and some will survive. Flame Trap is always enough damage to ensure the kill with the degen from burning, so it's up to you which you prefer. Ether Signet can probably be replaced if using BUH for Muddy Terrain or EoE or whatever. A Seize the Day +30 staff can be helpful to swap if you remove Ether Signet.
gj need tamlate code for you and the hero the drop rate are not that good traping now days so if u wont to find the new way do farm let me know in game zatoichi dourden is my in game name pm gj
ok thank you cuz i tried laying only four sets no more but it only kills sum of them and did u ever have trouble with aggroing the demons because half the time i have 4 or 5 of them following me wen i kill the rest
This build always works for me on wave 1, but I have the same problem on wave 2. You can keep the last Barbed Trap in reserve, and drop it while you run. Follow with Tripwire if that didn't shake him. You may also need to run Trapper's Speed to lay the trap faster before that guy catches you. This build works with trapper's speed as well; use the 30 sec duration as a timer, and don't renew 'til it expires. I don't really use this build anymore; I've made a new duo build to kill all 6 waves.
You misunderstand. I made a hero build to defeat all 6 waves as player + hero duo, but the hero is flagged off radar, so I still keep all the drops. Hero brings spirits, Spike Trap, Succor, and Rebirth, but I never need Rebirth unless I encounter the aggro bug. Working on new guide, will post video when complete.
Please click the "more" link in the description to the right of the video, under "About this Video." The hero is only there to resurrect if I make a mistake, and provided no aid or support of any kind.

The hero is only there to res you just incase you die, It provides no support, so.. It's a solo, with a back-up res incase you fuck up.

ArCaNeDeLaY 3 years ago
Nearly four. 8 Dust Traps, 4 Flames, 4 Barbed, but only 3 Tripwires. You can count the traps in the video.
