Sport Quattro, S1, 200 Trans Am and 90 IMSA (the car in this vid) all used a turbocharged 2.2 liter inline-5. However, the 90 IMSA's engine has 20-valves while the Rally cars only had 10-valves.

how can you get a compressor surge in a car with no compressor?

it's a turbo surge, and btw, you cant get turbo surge and still have a BOV, it's happens when the BOV isn't able to let out enough of the excess turbo-pressure.

I'm import fan, but Audi Quattro S1 and Audi 90 Quattro are great racing cars, with 2.2L S5 engines with huuuuuge potencial and great engineering. Best engines ever made by Audi IMO.
