  • brilliant!!

  • Alison is so underrated! She should be a top class platinum selling diva like Celine and Mariah, she's way better IMO because she's got soul which neither Celine or Mariah has.

  • She didn't play their game. She never tried to lose weight, or got breast implants to sell records.

She sold enough records and didnt compromise her artistic vision.

She basically took the Kate Bush route instead of the Mariah Carey route.

  • I kiss name whatU sign OMG....

  • I kiss the name that you sign.....not what!

  • my freinds used to make me sing this when we were drunk lol, great song!!

  • AWESOME, version of this great hit!

  • i allways thought she was going for a females elvis vibe

  • What year was this? Early 90s?

  • November 1987 x

  • i love this song, her voice is so easy to listen too.

  • Oh Ms Moyet, you are gorgeous, I will go to sleep with your voice in my head loveliness, and you are very pretty. Also when I hear your song "I go weak", i go weak.

  • BRILLIANT!!!!!

  • Alyson Moyet. Phenominal voice & this is one of my all time favourite songs ever. It always makes me misty eyed. :-)

  • Goodness, what a lovely voice and song.

  • THE VOICE

  • What a charming tune and a matching rendition as well.

  • Alison has always had a great set of pipes. Very underated.

  • If you get the chance check out the 50's version by Ketty Lester. That's who Allison Moyet tried to capture here, I think.

  • thats rubbish they're as different as black and white the tempo is completely different to start with are you tone deaf by any chance

  • You are so right. Nobody can compete Lester! I think that is a mistake anybody to try it.

  • You're right. Moyet had a big hit with it and sold millions. She must be kicking herself not to have heard these wise words.

  • Are you flat out deaf by any chance, washington?

  • I don't think she tried to capture Lester's or any other previous version. This is a 1940s song, and so many great singers have covered it that picking your favourite is a matter of personal taste. And sung at such a slow tempo, all versions are going to sound very similar. Lester's is a fine version, but so is Moyet's. I can listen to both, so I don't have to choose between them.

  • yea, this is so similar to ketty lesters' version its uncanny! lesters' version made the u.s.a. top 10 in '62 or '63. this is sooo good!

  • I like her pop songs better than the jazz ones.

  • This is one of the best songs Alison Moyet has ever done

Ketty Lesters original was great, Elvis version was greater but....Alison Moyet is the best by far.

    Well that is my opinion.

  • i couldnt agree more with you , both elvis and alison moyet were base singers but she could go high and low, great version

  • i adore this song..definitely in my all time favourite top ten list..can listen to it over and over

  • Very good cover version, this!

  • shes a sexy lovely lady, no bullshit!!!

  • Nice , I prefere ELKIE BROOKS singing this.

  • favorite female singer of all time

  • through these songs i discoverd old blues songs so thank you forever alison

  • I am in total agreement and these songs have certainly stood the test of time, what a great tribute, yes thanks forever Alison.

  • i have listned to and loved her voice for years .....but i love her singing this song...its in my all time top ten...and if isnt in other peoples then they need too listen to this song

  • I agree with you a 100 percent - what a voice, not to mention memories of my youth!

  • What a voice

  • I get goosebumps and feel tears coming to my eyes when I hear this song...Alison Moyet is definitely in the Top 5 All Time Favourite Female Vocalists!!!

  • superb!

  • What a FANTASTIC voice this lady has. So rich and deep. Her delivery of lyrics is spot on every time. Her version of this song is even better than the original. Her best in my opinion.

  • Love it ! She is great !!!!!!!!!

  • Great song, not sure the voice is a turn on though. Bit deep for me. Also, she looks like Mick "The Munch" Skinner who played in England's second row in the late 80's. I bet she could pick a Frenchman up and run with him too. Go Mick...

  • HA, that SO made me laugh mate! Nice one :)

  • love her voice and this song

  • That voice is such a turn on

  • wow... I really love her singing this song

  • Glad the loss of picture didn't stop you sharing this. Thanks. Great voice.

  • Oh that voice! thank you.

  • This is the only Alison song that I really dislike. Nice performance though and fun hair.
