Winnipeg is finally starting to turn itself around with the jets and the new bomber stadium which will bring more buisness and tourism and that will slowly give winnipeg a better reason to clean up the place.

you should go back and take a pic from the same spot- its totally different! The Hydro tower is finished (where the cranes were) and the Buhler building for the UWinnipeg has replaced the Salvation Army Store.
winnipeg is a far nicer city than calgary no matter how much more money there is in calgary. ever notice how when you drive through a new development everything is boring and looks the same? that's what all of calgary is like because most of the city has been built within the past 30. also, i have never been to another city like calgary which has a liquor mart with neon signs on every street.

well i would agree about winter. The truth is winnipeg has much warmer summers, we have a lot of lakes to choose from within a 90 minute drive. Unlike Calgary snow falling between may long weekend & laborday weekend is a one in a century phenom. Whenwas the last time Calgary seen snow in mid-late may? Myfriends went to Calgary area last year in late may and woke up to snow on the ground. How often can calgarians go out at 2 am on a summer night and wear shorts and a t shirt and be WARM?
