Well - Thanx to all for their comments. This rhythm is just the basic pattern. If you got the feeling to it and if it is fluently played you can improvise on that using some longer-lasting rolls or breaks. It is really funny if you use Irish 6/8 mixed with this pattern or try some other Latin stuff :) The possibilities are nearly unlimited... I used Rhythm-Syllables to clarify the pattern.

interesting and unique. i've been playing bodhran for two years now and i love it btw. i mastered 6/8 (almost, my dad's a fiddle player so we learnt it together) and i'm intent on learning this one!
