  • Wait.. is me.. or the song of FFII is the same as FFXII? :o

  • @pafachicodjrozo this song is used in the opening of 12 and maybe toher areas haven't played 12 to much

  • Funny, I would always buff myself with a fuckton of spells before I used the crystal

  • I think the video should have the title changed by now.

  • Ta appelé Rydia Toune hahaha

  • this music reminds me of final fantasy xii

  • Ça parait que t'es québécois, avec les noms de tes persos.

  • greets from namingway!

  • 5 western gamers need to be kicked in the head!

  • IF YOU GUYS WANT TO DOWNLOAD FINAL FANTASY 1 THROUGH 7 FOR NES AND SNES CLICK ON MY CHANNEL...THERE IS A VIDEO PROVING THEY WORK AND HAS THE LINK TO DOWNLOAD ALL IN 1 PACKAGE WITH THERE RESPECTIVE EMULATORS...IT IS COMPLETELY FREE...ENJOY!!!

  • I. loved. this. game.

Thank you for posting this. :)

  • I always had a hard time with this guy.

  • ah man i remember beating this boss on my first try at my cousin's house. this inspired me to actually play video games god bless this game

  • FFIV=FFII in america(For a small time period) Thumbs up so people dont get confused

  • Is this the real ff II?

  • @erit456 yes it is, in order to beat the final boss, get everybody to level 99 it's takes me about 3 weeks to max out the level!

  • @SmokinGem1 No, no no its not. Its Final Fantasy IV, but sense the real FF II & III wasn't released in America the American translators just called this FF II.

  • When I First Saw This Video, I Was Like "Hmm... I Wonder What Jobs You Picked." But I Remembered that You Can't Pick Jobs On This Game. Ah well. Hey, Do You Have A Recommended Amount Of HP To Get The Bahamut Spell? I Have Cecil At Almost 2300 HP Rydia At 1100, Rosa About 1300, Kain A Little Less Than Cecil's,Edge At Like 1500. Are Those Ok To You?

  • @fantasto5 It shouldn't matter. Have Rosa apply reflect to everyone but Kain who should Jump. Mega Flare will get reflected back for massive ownage.

  • @fantasto5 Why did you capitalize every word in that whole sentence?

  • @sharkmaster99 I Don't Know. I Just Do That Stuff.

  • @fantasto5 K!

  • @fantasto5 Are You Maybe German? 'Cuz In German, Every Word Is Capitalized. (I'm Not German.)

  • @Nerdytimes No. I Just Do It Sometimes.

  • @fantasto5 Well, I Got It.

  • this is final fantasy II??? i thought that this was IV or V

  • @master6339 In the US it was released as Final Fantasy II because we did not receive the Famicom Games Final Fantasy II and III, VI is also released as III stateside because we did not receive the Super Famicom game Final Fantasy V which I highly recommend playing.

  • @master6339 depend where u live in usa its the 4 XD

  • Now i see where dissidia gets all that stuff from.

  • isint this final fantasy 4

  • @TheAmazingMrtibs It's more known FFIV in Japanese and Europe because they never released real FF2 (NES) in USA. That's why they mixed FFIII too which is actually FFVI in Japanese. Real FF2 and 3 was released only in Japan.

  • On The Advance Version Of This, I Beat It With Yang, Palom, Porom, Edward, And Mainly Cecil.

  • THIS IS FINAL FANTASY IV NOT II ... WHO DID THIS CRAP^?????????

  • @phepye It's 2 in America but 4 in Japan. Us Americans weren't making Final Fantasy I a smash hit so Japan skipped releasing the real 2 and 3 over and then gave us 4 which we renamed 2, same with 6 (3 in America). So yes you are right but, in 1991 hardly any of us knew that.

  • @phepye Squaresoft. they didn't release FF2 and 3 in the US, so they renamed 4 and 6 to 2 and 3.

  • Yes this was FF 2 back in the day but the in Japan it's FF 4 because they didn't release 2 here on the nes because they felt it would be too hard for americans and by the time 3 had come out america had already moved on to the snes. Thus deeming FF4 FF2 and FF6 FF3.

  • thats 4

  • i hate how they fucked this legendary game up on the gameboy advance, making Yang in the final fight and just fucking the dialogue over.

  • I played this game countless of hours, the secret of mana, and chrono trigger were also awesome games...

  • this game...OMG. Dude I still play it.....This and Chrono Trigger f'n classics!!!!!

  • this actually final fantasy 4 not 2

  • @InvisibleNuke no bro.this was final fantasy 2 on the supernes back in the day.

  • @InvisibleNuke yeah but the japenese made this game first, it was 4 to them

but america only got 3 and 4 so for us it was originally 2

  • lol my brother would always buy this expensive super duper gaming computer, and modify the hell out of it. It cost him so much money and all he did on it was download nes emulators

  • ahh...FF2/4. Though i have never played the SNES version, GBA works just as well, since zeromus is just as hard.

  • isnt this ff4

  • This is not ff2.

  • @theowlsofouterheaven this is FF2 in america. I know because i have the game in factory wrapping in my living room. just saying :-)

  • @Shadow2ggah In america it is. But the actual ff2 involves Firion. I am currently playing it :)

  • One of the greatest games of my youth!

  • the theme to this boss battle is underrated it

    i loved it :)

  • i beat game with a cheat only way :( BTW THAT WAS MY HP) cheat was fire 1 do like 6000 bc i cheat

  • love this game grew up playing this..i miss the 90's :[

  • is my stats ok? these are my stats

    ceceil over 2000

    Kain over 2500

    Rosa 1700 about 1784

    rydia 1056

edge 1600 please tell me if I'm ready for zeormus

  • @nicolettabujor Is This Your Health or Attack? (If HP You Might Be Ok. But Attack I'm Totally Unsure.)

    But Nintendocult's Stats Are

    David (Cecil) 5170

    Caro (I Think Rosa.) 3791

    Michel (Kain) 4936

    Toune (Rydia) 2604

    Stef (Maybe Edge) 4080

  • @nicolettabujor

    think u r rdy

  • one of the best boss songs.

  • yea and there is a rmk of the song in FFXII

  • It takes for ever for him to die on the GBA version

  • Why is he using Meteo with Rydia? Bahamut costs less MP and takes less time to cast, thus more damage per amount of time and MP.

  • Wanted to make the battle last? Dunno. Personally I thought casting White was a bit of a waste since Rosa should be healing EVERY turn. Also if you leave Cecil in the middle he makes the first turn instead of having to Parry with everyone else to get to him.

  • Yeah I would be like I love ff3 snes and people would be like huh then I have to say oh yeah .......ff6 its just weird how I grew up with it as 3 then finding out its 6

  • so true cuz after ff3 (ff6) sqaure released ff7 and everyone was probably confused

  • This isn't FF2. This is FF4.

  • It's FF2 for SNES. FF4 is the Japanese version.

  • It's FF4 for SNES.

Everyone calls it FF4 now because that's what it is. It is not FF2 at all.

  • It was FF4 for the Super Famicon. FF2 for SNES. If you don't think that's true, look at the box. Doesn't matter what everyone calls it now - the facts are the facts. After that came FF3 for SNES, which is FF6 for Super Famicon. Whatever, though. You don't have to acknowledge anything if you don't want to, though.

  • Well, nobody really calls those games FF2 or FF3 because those aren't what they are. They have been remade a few times as FF4 and FF6.

It's FF4 all the way. This was the forth Final Fantasy game made, but the second to be released in America. That doesn't make it FF2.

  • When you're talking about for the SNES, as in this case, it's FF2. It sure was remade a few times, but not for the SNES. In the video's title, it says FF2 for SNES. That's not wrong.

  • It was only labeled as FF2 one time. But no matter what you say, no matter how you put it, it is 100% FF4.

  • Nice try with an ultimate answer, but this is still FF2 for SNES and FF4 for every other release.

  • It's only labeled as FF2. It isn't FF2. Nothing makes it FF2 because it isn't.

  • Squaresoft made it FF2 when they released it to the states for SNES. Even though it's been amended to the states with releases as FF4 on different mediums, there was no revision for the SNES, leaving it FF2 for that console. I agree with you on all the other parts. However, the SNES version remains FF2. It's not my opinion, it's just a plain fact.

The opening to even this video declares it's FF2.

  • They labeled it FF2 but it was still FF4. It was named FF2 for a few years but not anymore.

    This game isn't FF2.

  • You're talking about something else completely. I'm telling you that since this is the SNES version, according to the video's author, it means that it's FF2, because there is no FF4 for the SNES. Everyone who knows Final Fantasy knows that FF2 for SNES is actually FF4. Since there was no revision for that system's version however, it's not wrong to call it FF2 when talking about the SNES version, or posting videos from it. I'm not talking about the game itself, but the SNES version.

  • There is a serert way to get 2 crystsls

    NO HACKING

  • This game was amazing, as well as VI (III). Even though I never beat VII, I still liked it. The story was original, something I had never seen before...

Anyway, back on II (IV), this game was in a class of its own and one of the best RPG's I've played!

  • Wow. Zeromus was a pansy in this version...

  • i was 10 when i got this game 5 years ago and i bet it in about 5 months it was very first final fantasy game and it got me into it

  • same here

  • where do you find odin its the only summon i havent never got in this game :(

  • Odin is at the bottom of the castle in the underworld. You have to beat him before he raises his sword and slices you in half. Lit3 works best in that situation. Have you found any walkthroughs?

  • Definitley one of the best Final Fantasy games :)

  • damn good game

  • I played this on the GBA and powned :D

  • Is this a bad thing? I've been looking up old-school video game vids for the past 2 hours here. :D

  • lol no cuz i was doin the same thing lol

  • Wonder how they make videos like this... Cause I have an emulator and I started playing these old school games for SNES again.. lol. I tried making a video with fraps, and it didn't recognize them as real games. XD

  • lol i have no idea either. lol

  • change the name of the file ran to a real game and boom it should work

  • SNES9x has a record feature, Zsnes does'nt

  • Oh sweet. I've been using Zsnes lol. Do you know anything about the PSX emulators? Doubt Fraps would recognize those either. =/

  • Hey, no problem. I am not sure about PSX emulators though, sorry

  • Probably using the actual SNES and a video capture card, at least that's how I would have done it.

  • I have the actual SNES lol. Great condition, too. I just wanna capture video, which I don't have the money to afford some sort of video capture device, sorry.

  • I love my SNES. I want to play this game through again, but I want my boyfriend to play it with me. We went through Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana not too long ago. This and Final Fantasy VII are my next replays. I bought my capture card a few years ago for $90.

  • Secret of Mana is one of my favorites. :) Chrono Trigger was amazing as well. ^_^ I play a bunch of games, from the newest to the oldest. And Final Fantasy Tactics has got to me my favorite FF game... Of it's genre. 10 and 2 are probably more of my favorites... 12 was amazing as well... 11 was teh best... And (you're ganna kill me for saying this) but... 7 sucked horribly lol. I don't know why everybody liked it so much. Horrid story in my opinion. Gameplay was cool though.

  • I can definitely say that I'm not a FFVII fan, whatever. There are far too many fanboys at my school for my liking, even instructors. I loved Final Fantasy X, I have International... I still haven't finished the dark aeons yet.

  • Secret of mana was one of the best games ive ever played... even though I always seem to have something go wrong at almost EVERY last boss on RPGs for emulators... lost my data before I beat the liche D:

  • Aw that sucks.... Liche was my favorite boss lol. Thanatos was his name, I believe.

  • Haha the music sounds SO SIMILAR

to "Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards" for the N64 if anyone has ever played that game :P

  • you used meteo?!? never use that spell cast time is really long and it's barley stonger then flare. You can get 2-3 flares off in the time it takes to cast meteo for way more damage

  • Bahamut does more damage and casts just as quick as Flare (nuke in FF2 for SNES). costs 10 more points, but it is effective

  • that depends on stats a high level rydia can do 9's with a flare. But I never thought of using bahamut, just knew to avoid meteo

  • I only use Meteo(r) as the final spell of the battle just to say i used it against him. Bahamut is the best damage control to use because he is the last and strongest of Rydia's summons.

  • Wait, the Big Bang attack doesn't nearly kill you? I just recently beat this game again, and Big Bang nearly killed me every single time, and I was at your party's level or higher. I had to raise levels for an eternity before I could beat the game. Though I did play it on PS1, which I hear is modeled more after the original Japanese release as far as difficulty goes. The US release of this game was dumbed down in difficulty, or so I hear. I haven't played the SNES one in a while.

  • Big Bang doesn't nearly kill me. I sometimes do lose Rydia the most often as she is more than likely the one with the least amount of HP. In the original SNES game...I did make it with her only at lv 53/54...60 got her Meteo.

  • What is that Zeromus supposed to look like? Don't get his looks.

  • *the change in mood and music when zeromus starts changing into its true form and the final battle theme enters*

    f...u...c....*...i...n....g........e....p...i....c.......

    seriously

FFIV has got some badass soundtrack

  • You don't think a choir in FFIII as you are fighting the statues in the final battle is as epic as this? It's almost like the angels are singing about the battle...

Put in (after v=) 8R0EVGJ61Mg for a very nice, high quality version of the FFIII final boss.

  • In fact that same choir is the very same reason why I love that song (:

Thanks for sharing, I hadn't heard such a good quality SNES version before. :)

  • SNES sounds gave Uematsu a chance to boast his ability much better.

I was impressed to hear strings and horns in a game.

    =)

    P.S. Zeromus was irritating...

  • Exactly.

  • And now that you're talking about SNES sounds

in some songs (including this one) i sometimes prefer the original version over the Black Mages version ( that doesn't make The Black Mages less awesome than they are though).

  • i first bought this game in 2003 from a gamestop store , played it, and loved every moment of it. thanks to this vid, i'm going to play it again soon

  • wait wat? gamestop sells old classic games?!

  • well yeah, back when it was called funcoland.

  • damn.....i miss the good ol' days when i 7 and i busted this out. but then i did it again when i was 16 and i understood the story line and alot of other little things that were going on in the game and only fell more in love with. Does anyone know how many summons total you could get with Rydia?

  • Im not saying this is old, but I make games like this.

That aside, I love this game!

  • ahhh my first rpg

  • Final Fantasy is the best game I have ever played

  • Wait let me get this straight FF2 for SNES's version had Zeromus as the last boss and when they remade it on the GBA (FF1+2 Dawn of Souls+ PSP version) the final boss got changed to The Emperor? WTF?

  • Eh heh. FFII for the gba is Final Fantasy II....but FF2 for the snes is actually Final Fantasy four. You see the first us ff released was Final Fantasy I, followed by IV, followed by VI....but in order to not confuse us, they renamed the games for their american release. A similar confusion happened when VII was released in the UK, as it was the first UK ff.

  • i love his boss music so 16-bity!!!!

  • lol the you got mega nuke if you don`t you suck

mega nuke will kill it in five min

  • OMFG dude this was the best final fantasy game, the story, the battles, and the MUSIC especially made me insane to play this game

  • Oh man I had this game... I had so much time on my hands I got my characters all the way to 9999! this game... loved it the story drew me in... when Yang died made me cry

  • I hated it when Yang was suposedly killed. He made the game alot easier....

  • This is the Japanese FFIV, right? Only edited somewhat?

  • Correct. I believe this version was re-released in Japan as Final Fantasy IV Easy Type part of which is because one of Zeromus' attacks actually does nothing.

  • I thought that it was released in Japan as FF4, then when it was brought to america we changed it to FF2... I think because we hadn't had the second and third games yet, but then it was later rereleased in america as FF4?

  • Japan loves re-releasing games... Look at Kingdom Hearts and the Final Mixes. Japan gets it first, America adds or changes something (Sephiroth), Japan re-releases with the American additions (usually the US voice acting and subs) and then adds more on top of it (more keyblades, new heartless, new bosses).

  • Why isnt Hat in your party this time?

  • Cecil Ownz

  • I spent the entire summer of my 13th b-day this. :)

  • b4 i dinint no how to beat lol but now i do it all the time!XD

  • who ever STILL has this cartrage for the snes and still plays it is a true ff fan. This is the final fantasy that started me on these games and still remains the best, next to 7.

  • *raises her hand* This one and FF3 (VII), Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana... ah the old RPG love.

  • ** raises hand also, FF2 , FF3, Metroid, and zelda are some of my favorites !!!!

  • @hpsly35 You mean FF4, FF6, Metroid, and Zelda.

  • you are fighting him the hard way just go do a side quest and get a second crystal

  • ???

Which side quest do you talking about dude?

  • There is a serert place in one of the caslte i am not shue which one but you can get a crystal in the caslte which males that boss very easy

  • Hey you named your ninja guy offa me :P

  • but man..zeromus was much on the snes version then on the playstation and ds version, he's such a bitch on those versions...dont know why

  • Well you probably fought him when you were younger, less experienced and had no clue what to expect.

  • Such and amazing game, beaten this numerous times, the new final fantasy's will never compare to games such as these, 1-7 we're simply the best out of them all.

  • I remember this game completely. It was a great game. And it's still good at memory. For me this is one of the best known Final Fantasy games ever.

  • Zeromus is a classic boss indeed. He is my favorite last boss fight in final fantasy

  • I dont' know how but I stumbled on all these FF videos. I just started playing them again on my emulator.

FFII was always my fav. I played it constantly like I had no life. I got my guys up to level 92 and no lie I timed myself and it took just over 2 min to beat the character. I found every item in the game except 2, there's some "pink" think the slob guys on the lunar moon randomly drop as well as I think it's an ax from the mtn where the karate guy fights those bombs in the beginning.

  • yeah the pink things are a secret monster, they apear in only 1 square in the luner moon, and theydrop a pink tail( is extremnly rare1 of 6064 or somthinglike that to obtain it) and ifugive it to the guy that want tail its gives u adamnt armor, the best armor by far of the game.

I pass the game too with lvl 95 ighest and 87 lowest

  • do you remember where you find that secret monster???

  • Does anyone know if Final Fantasy 2 SNES will be sold on Nintendo Wii Virtual Console? This game is truly a classic.

  • I was 8 when I rented this game and it was my first RPG, the game that started my RPG addiction. I didn't beat the game at that time but with an emulator I finally got to play though the end. I kinda feel like playing it again with the dejap patch.

  • it woulda be cool if I had parents who stimulated me with gaming, but I had to do it all myself, i played Gta on my 4th age hehe

  • the vid was blurry but freaking great this is one of my all time fav games iv played for yrs now i have no problems really getting to last obss but i can never kill him what freaking lvl wer eyou?

  • thats not the vid thats the system!

  • This game featured my favorite villan in teh series: Golbez. It was a shame you never got him as a PC in your party. Great vid dude. brought back a lot of memories.

  • this is the best final boss fight its awesome how everyone is all injured and restored by the dead

  • this game is much harder in the gameboy version

i dare you guys to argue

  • yea the monsters attack a lot faster and deals with more damage. I always run outta mp and when I played the snes version, I dun remember healing so much after every battle

  • jesus will you snobs stop with your "this is FF4, not 2 moron" talk. it was released in the US as 2 and thats how most casual American players know the game. I was shocked to learn later it was actually fourth in the series but to me its FF2 and itll always be FF2; the first rpg i ever played way back at age 7.

  • Actually, since it was released by Square as FF2, it IS FF2.

  • Amen brother! Us old schoolers know the deal. Back in the early nineties all we knew was FF 2 and 3. The snobs didn't get to have this marvelous experience!

  • Then i guess the FF2 and FF3 they just released for the GBA arnt really FF2 and FF3 but FF13 and FF14 right? That or just mabey this is actually FF4. Sorry noobs. Nothing snobby about it its just fact

  • ses hot en modit se jeux la pas vrais hein

  • ahh this game is awesome

but i wonder..what happens to kain or ceiel?

im only on the desert part of this game...

  • dont worry i cant get past baigan i rented my game tho so i couldnt kill him :(

  • Not to spoil things, but the purplish hair character which was renamed David is Cecil. Kain is there too in the middle renamed to Michel.

  • That's rigth dude. The 3 others are Rosa, Rydia and Edge.

  • This game is great with all the twists in the tale. The first ff game ive played.

  • 00:00 To 00:10 i swear to god that song is in Every FF game lol

  • It is, it's called the prelude.

  • Although it isn't practical to use really in that battle, still the most LEGENDARY of all moves!

  • my first ff series to start, but second ff series to finish!!

  • i remember killing Zeromus it was one of the greatest moments ever. does this mean my life is pathetic?

  • cool

  • I started playing this game again yesterday, i think I'm about halfway through it. I just met Edge and got through the battle with the fiend of fire. Wonder how much there is to the game. When i found I was going up against Golbez very soon, I was like "Dang, is that all?" But then I remembered, this is final fantasy. They wouldn't do something so noobish. Long live Final Fantasy!
