When I think of Icecrown I think of dailys! lance a lot at the citadel, killing some elite dragon, questing for battleship and hearing the same song over and over again :)

I remember the first time i flew into Icecrown. I was all like "why does this look like Mordor?", and then i saw all the elite undead mobs, Alliance and Horde soldiers fighting and dying everywhere, and the imposing sight of Icecrown Citadel and the battleships flying around. I love Icecrown, my favorite region behind Eversong Woods, Zul'Drak and Nagrand.

@wagglewax It's not, you need to find the good in it. Just because it's "hard" or isn't about the Lich King, doesn't mean that Cata sucked, it actually improved a lot of things. Like quests for example, they got a lot better.

Only played WotLK. Wasn't familiar with the lore so I played the Warcraft games just to have a better understanding behind WoW's storyline. Pretty awesome lore imo and made me appreciate the game a lot more. I .. didn't really have that same connection with Cata (lore-wise) so I guess my interest in WoW pretty much died alongside Arthas/Lich King. I still listen to the music though hehe

TBC was the peak. WotLK was still a great expansion but the devaluation of the world of warcraft was already in full progress. With Cata it became visible for everybody.

I still feel the magic of WoW when listening to this music. But the blood haze has lifted, I have freed myself :)

Funny cause, people thought the Lich King would end off Vanilla WoW. It seemed like it during his appearance at Kel'thuzad, but obviously with the difficulty of KT, a boss any harder would be near enough impossible to 60's :P

I remember the first time i came to this zone and the feel it had and flying close to the ground and seeing all those undead... it really gave you the feeling of the scourge's and Arthas's might that if you were studpid enough to land and think you could roflstomp the mobs they would always almost instantly respawn like an endless wave of undead ;)

@DralosVos Icecrown was that back in Warcraft 3. Since the Scourge have constructed it to a fortress, and constructed Icecrown Citadel. Thats why it isnt snowy and stuff.

@pajura I despised him. He was insecure, ungrateful and took that out on others, IMO . I'm also a Kael fan, so knowing that Arthas pretty much ruined his life in every aspect also added to that dislike.

But still, he was a very tragic and interesting character. It was amazing and truly scary when you were finally able to see the citadel of the evil mastermind we were meant to fight since day one. That's why I'm not the biggest fan of Cata, because Deathwing just seemed to pop out of nowhere.

I did the quest where you try to save the Paladin dying from the plague. Exactly when A'dal appeared telling me not to fear because he would not become another scourge minion - his spirit rose up and the music at 3:20 played... was really quite moving! Lol :-D
