  • Really with driving alone, you are paying for more than just gas. Taking mass transit really saves big. Both on auto bills and the environment.

  • OH NOES ... Some people take the train now, it must be a disaster !!!1!!!one!!!

  • Go from NY to LA for less the $20

The future of the bullet transportation is here now

    smtrail.com

  • We should block ALL U.S. drilling and save it for DOMESTIC STRATEGIC RESERVES only (You know, like for the farmers when food is in short supply because easy oil had all of a sudden been sucked up by all the other ever expanding countries)...

This means we have to "go closed cycle nuclear based on thorium fission in molten salt reactors" (or LFTR for short) and electric cars... That tech is now! We only have to (possibly) perfect the battery tech...

  • Gas prices are going to sky rocket again, pass the word we all need to park our cars in protest.

  • alternative energy has been suppressed by corporations and the government. If there was mass transit here I'd love to use it. get rid of cars and build mass transit.

  • the goverment need to chill out and get this gas on track b4 sum shit really do happen..

  • What about free energy, is already possible it just has been mysteriously supressed. Have you heard about Dr. Eugene Mallove and cold fusion. There is no way to put a meter on this cold fusion invention that's why the government does not support this.

  • WOOO HOO!!

I support a .20 (per gallon) gas tax to support mass transportation development and expansion.

  • Mass transit. What about teleworking? Never heard? Mass transit is a normal thing in Europe. Its good for the environment even though its meaningless for 30% of the workers who could work at home.

  • Left wing 'groups' have been pushing, NYC,for increased mileage standards [ the most important leverage re demand], more funds for public transportation and alternative forms of energy for the duration of the Bush Oil Adminstration. Had they been heard we would not paying 4 plus per gallon right now.

  • Republicans have controlled the presidency for 12 of the past twenty tears; Bush One for 4, Bush 2 for 8. Both were self described oil men. Cheney worked for Halliburton, a multinational that sells oil production supplies [ and recently to Iran]. The Bush family is tight with the Saudi royals. ENRON gave W. private plane to use during his 2000 campaign. Tell me who is in bed with Big Oil?

  • The Bush adminisntration has failed miserably to construct a useful energy policy [ had enough?]. Cheney had a meeting with oil executives [ he was one] years ago and when liberals tried to get the word out he resorted to Executive Privelge. Oil companies [heavy Republican donors] despite billions in profits, say the cannot afford to build more refineries. Ever got the feeling you've been had?

  • Zero Tolerence Oil Policy

    We drill our own.

    We refine our own.

    We buy our own.

    One grade fits all.

Until this happens, every incumbent loses their seat.

  • 1. What do you mean by "our own?" You own nothing. What you is consuming today is already stolen property of others.

    2. Ever heard the word "limited" or the word "finite"?

Possibly not if you're an US-American because for US-Americans there is a credo: "No limits No finite sources! Everything must grow steadily ad infinitum."

Water, air, soil, oil, gas ... everything(!) is finite. No matter how long you argue against that.

  • Just have to bring your damn anti-americanism into a thread. anti-american swine

  • Fewer gas guzzler vehicles, more carpooling, and greater mass transportation usage and investment is a good thing.

  • Many elected officials throughout the country won't allow us to drill for oil or build oil refineries right here in the USA. Why? They don't want to upset the left wing environmentalist groups who are funding their campaigns. Sad, isn't it?

  • You are absolutely right. The more oil we produce in North America, the less we need to import from the Middle East.

  • Need to go buy me a bike!

or at least go buy me a moped.

  • Peddling my ass to work and back, it's no fun when it rains!

  • yeah... i'm reaching my breaking point too

  • wait till gas be $6 to $7 a gallon and home heating oil be $ 9 i think this winter a lot of older people are going to be found dead of cold exposure the traders on wall street fuck us all
