No it's not the fastest blu-ray player out there but what do u think it's 300$!!! I'd say that's pretty good bargain for 'just' a blu-ray player. And PS3 installs games on the hard drive so the only thing you need is space.

Because in my opinion, the Playstation 3 sucks. People always bitch how the 360 has a high failure rate yet I've had mine for almost 3 years and it only overheated once and started back up fine 15 minutes later. I'm happy with my more games. And I'm glad with the fact that I can just go buy a bluray player if I actually fucking wanted one.

The 360 my brother has has RRoD'd 3 times, overheated, wiped his HDD on it's own, and had various controller connectivity issues. I stated opinions AND facts. You obviously didn't understand that. Failure Rate? Ok, yes, it malfunctions all the time. But do you have to pay for repairs? No. Microsoft fixes any RRoD problem, for free. And reimburses you for your lost Xbox Live time with a month free of Live. Plus, I have also noticed, that PS3 has a lack in games. And when first selling, it was 600 dollars. Who wants to pay 600 dollars for a console that isn't even going to have that many titles?

And what happens when those consumers who didn't buy an extended warranty and run out of time to keep sending it in for repairs? Yes, I agree, there should definitely not be a RRoD problem by now. But look at everything Microsoft has made. The Xbox is decent, Windows XP is almost Flawless and the Zune is pretty good. Yet EVERYTHING has a godamn malfunction. Which is why I'm considering switching to Linux and possibly finding Xbox Hacks that are easy. And I think even after the Warranty, they still fix it. But I could be wrong about it. They don't fix the heat sink problem, which is such an easy fix.

Yes, I remember the PS2. I still own one. Just never play it. I use it as a DVD player occasionally but I'm more of a next gen kind of guy when it comes to gaming. Yes, the PS3 has more hard drive space. That's awesome. But seeing how I've had my Xbox for about 2 and a half years and haven't used up all 20 gigs, I really don't worry much about drive space. Yes, PS3 online is free. But does it have features such as Facebook, Twitter, and, LastFM? And what about arcade games?

@Slayerben3 Just because YOU haven't used your HDD space doesn't mean others don't. Gaming isn't the only thing the PS3 is for, it stores music and movies and photos as well. Considering the built in WI-FI and web browser on the PS3, yes, I would say it does have those features as it connects directly to those websites. Even Youtube. And yes, the Playstation Store does have arcade games. It also re-releases some classic PS1 games (personl favorite being "Castlevania: Symphony of the Night").

You can store music on the 360 too, but it becomes a hassle since its set up like Windows Media Player (Which is horrible, haha) They have what they call Xbox Originals in the arcade section which are basically popular games from the first Xbox such as Combat Evolved, Rainbow Six and other stuff. Its cool that the PS3 does have a web browser. I'm hoping that eventually Microsoft will put out some sort of browser that isn't shitty. Or maybe someone will find a hack, lol.

I was at my cousins playing killzone 2 and it was really crappy to me the graphics were amzing it's just the playing style seemed awkward. Don't get me wrong resistance is probably my most fav. ps3 game but it just got really confusing.
