this is probably the worst way to jailbreak an iphone. These apps are shit. Use the terminal and learn some code.

for the last step everything worked but my ipod wont sink and its stuck on the pinapple in the screen...any ideas...it keeps making the sinking sound but nothing syncs how can i restore my ipod or anything because it the comp doesnt even detect the ipod

Maybe it doesn't detect your iPod because you have an old version of iTunes you need to have the last one or maybe the firmware (2.2).
