Gary rules! Big fan of everything he's done.Had these records in college, went backwards to the Figures then realized it was all him with John Waite No Brakes.Saw him gig a couple years ago in Long Beach.Played and sounded just as cool as ever.

I might be in the minority, but Gary's jumping the shark here... the albums with the Figures are untouchable, but there's a discernible difference in the solo stuff.
This takes me back to high school...early MTV; when it really was videos and VJs! Anybody remember Martha Quinn, JJ Jackson, Nina Blackwood and the rest of the gang?
Great song, great vibe, very atmospheric. Gary's done a lot of great stuff, just destined to be one of those talented musicians who never quite gets the recognition he deserves.
Man, I've been searching for this on CD. Anyone know where I can find it? I had the original on vinyl. Haunting, moody & able to be listened to over & over w/out getting tired of the beautiful melody.
Thanks a ton for posting. One of my fave new wave tunes. This is back from when MTV was still MUSIC tv instead of the evil, soulless corporate dictator of commercially viable hip attitude.
Man, I'll be listening to this sucker the rest of the night while I try to write!
Wonderful... I have looked for this song for years to no avail, and all because I was looking for 'The King of Rock N Roll' by Prefab Sprout I stumbled across this. Serendipity indeed.
gary was good.underrated.maybe if he lived in england he would have had a lot more recognition.

I had two Gary Myrick albums and I was a heavy metal guy from the 80's.
He was cool in my book. Guitar Talk Love and Drums.

He says: "She let's her hair down for a picture, sends it to you nation-wide"
There was no internet back then. Kinda cool.
