  • trabalho de reciclagem do Whitesnake no album que eu mais gosto deles !!!!

  • The good old days when music was real music

  • fail, they are skipping out the best part of the riff

  • ホワイト・スネイクのビートルズのハード・エッジ・カバー"デイ・トリッパー"~~男臭いヴォーカル、デヴィッド・カバーデイルが活きたネ!

  • Holy shit. Coverdale is amazing. His voice is like a mix of Paul Rodgers and Chris Cornell. So perfect for this genre.

  • @TheRockinPajamas Do you know Deep Purple went after Paul Rogers originally to replace Ian Gillan. Richie Blackmore wanted a 'blues' singer. particularly for 'Mistreated'. Rogers turned them down and they auditioned and discovered David Coverdale. You are right on the money with your comparison to Paul Rogers.

  • Totally Cool!

  • Good!!!!!

  • Essa versão fuquei bem diferente, mas muito boa!

  • Mmmm.........nice version!

  • arrghhh! . .I want to go dancing

  • This Is Kinda Catchy! Of course not better than the original....but has its own charm..and a sort of 70's cheesy way!

  • that sucks. the original 1 is better

  • T his is just the craziest thing hahahahahah! Its so funny to see the contrast between the end of the 70's to the mid 80's OMG hahahahaha!

  • 70's Whitesnake was the best.Coverdale belongs up there with Plant,Tyler,

Gillan,Mercury,Halford,Dio and the rest of them

  • Metal Verson of Day Tripper by The Beates, but I prefer the original version and Jimi Hendrix version.

  • This IS RARE! OMG! One of my fav's by them. I love David Coverdale. He is pure rock n soul!

  • Wow!!!

  • Whitesnake with DC in his prime!! Spot on song!

  • I like how they took a great song and made it great in their own way

  • this really should be at original speed (because it isn't a rock song - it's a rocknroooll song). - listen to 'day tripper,take1&2' as it's abt as alternative as the song should be.

  • @domparah omfg i know, exactly like chris cornell.

I wish he could still sing

  • that reminds me of chris cornell's voice

  • Jesus Christ people...arguing over the Internet is like the Special Olympics, everyone loses. Good music is good music and this was an awesome cover of a great Beatles song. This made me wanna grab the tab to this version and slap my bass to it. Haha!

  • this sucks the WORST

  • Nice...I never heard this; I really liked Coverdale in Deep Purple...the vocals on "Burn." Incredible.

  • Excellent spin on the original Beatles song - Pretty cool :)

  • I love the bad ass with the powerful bluesy voice

  • I love the bad ass with the handle-bar mustache. lol

  • I love the badass with the mutton chops

  • Now thats what I call fucking great rock.I love the early stuff not the Bon Jovi crap the David did in the 80's!

  • cool, i have never seen this, love this band, they were super up until they lost sykes and murray and dunbar,

  • Well Sabbath, Purple and Led-Zepp are the greatest classics... They are all great so stop arguing...

  • Sexiest. Song. EVER!

  • very rare dio cane come cazzo si fa a dire raro di un cazzo di video su utube amazzati!!!!!!!!

  • even though i am a bigger zep fan than whitesnake, but i do love whitesnake as well, i would have to say coverdale is the better of the two singers, the other being plant. as far as pure singing voice, if you are a musician or a even a casual fan of rock music, you have to agree coverdale has a better voice. as far as success, charisma and the intangibles, plant who have the edge there.

  • @reignman2112

I'm not sure I'd agree. Although I have no faith in the world's ability to discern musical talent (AKA Bieber, Miley and others), to say Plant was more popular than Coverdale simply because of charisma and the intangibles is ludicrous. Plant put out many successful solo albums (how many did Coverdale?)... if it was only based on charisma and intangibles, it would have been 1 album maybe 2. Zeppelin vs Whitesnake vs Page/Coverdale??? really??? Fail.

  • @firelawn74 Plant sings like a chipmunk {female one at that } Coverdale sounds like he has balls the size of chipmunks. Zepplin have better songs though.

  • @TheMichaelseymour

Coverdale is simply a Xerox of Plant... kinda the same, but not original.

And I'd thank you very much not to bring up Robert's previous band Alvin, Simon, Theodore and Plant. We're all trying to forget that.

  • suits whitesnake more the beatles callin a woman a teaser sounds out of character when they're singin pop songs.............although i hate the talk box solo.

  • L'hanno veramente inguaiata.

  • Medium rare

  • horrible

  • a cement-solid version i must admit, though i've never been a fan of the band...

    Great !

  • Very bluesy, very cool----I never heard this before--the voice box is so 70's!

  • Whitesnake are my favourite band. This song got me into the Beatles version, thus started to get me into the Beatles. But, back to Whitesnake, I thoink its bollocks that Snake died when Marsden left, yes, he was brilliant, but of the bluesy "classic" line-up, Micky Moody was the better of the two. But inreality its Cov that kept Whitesnake alive, and moved it onto bigger and, sometimes better thing. this is coming from a fan of the bluesy/rock era, and1987 onwards stuff!

  • Whitesnake died when Marsden left.

  • great cover never heard before

  • they ruined it...my verson is waaay better...

  • Not the original, but they've sure got a groove there.

  • Beatles were'nt even a real group.

  • this is really a good interesting way 2 play day tripper

  • they are iok but plzzzzz dont compare with the gods themselves...it's embarrassing!!!!!

  • very very good

  • From the "Trouble" album, probably their best. Before they came to the States and became just another hair band these guys were f@*%ing awesome.

  • Great video, awesome, just awesome

  • i like white snake but i like the origional better.. dont like the riff then stop..riff then stop...

  • this cover suuuuuuuuuuuucks, is really really bad.

  • talkbox!!!

  • what in the hell? this sounds terrible!

  • this version rocks more than the original

  • 屎屎屎

  • awful

  • かっけー!!

  • To anyone who says the original is better : the beatles were like dylan and many others in that their real talent was in writing-not singing and playing. i have rarely heard a beatles song that wasnt better served by a real vocalist (like coverdale). as far as the plant comparisons go: 1. there are only hints at influence from plant/zep throughout their career (a compliment to plant). 2. if any artist sounds so convincingly like another that is just more good music to enjoy!

  • @roger16trekkie

Whoa there BUCKO... to say that Lennon and McCartney weren't really singers is to say other great singers and stylists of the past weren't really that good, based what we think is good at the moment.

I - on the other hand - Have RARELY heard a covered Beatle Song that could hold a candle to the original.

and their playing ? PLEASE get an F-N clue to what your talking about.

    What is your criteria?

mine is 40+ yr of performing + recording with Pros, all who acknowledge them.

  • @roger16trekkie Um yes. You felt the need to post this on a public forum. I like your style. So the gist is that Coverdale is a better singer than any of the Beatles and Bob Dylan. Maybe you could give us a critique of their musicianship on Let it Be Naked while you're at it.

Incidentally sticking an exclamation mark at the end of a post doesn't lessen the impact of it's pomposity. If you are not a lesser troll then you should consider handing your musical card in at the door.

  • this sucks compared to the original. it also sucks compared to the hendrix version.

  • Where can I buy talkbox?

  • Funky!

  • Talkbox FTW!

  • visite M2U00613 by lucas 070100

  • day tripper bythe beatles is best

  • @HeathenLoveGod pretty rare ! how many other recordings of this cover have you found?

  • Not a bad Beatles remake

  • I've never seen this. Mimed to the studio version, from the Trouble album 1978?

  • @howiemarsh indeed

  • 51 people tripped over today

  • She did that to her next lover. You mean Tawny Kittain. She did that to her then husband baseball player Chuck Finley.

  • I dig their version.

  • Great voice!

  • Needs more cowbell.

  • Massive fan - thanks for posting!

  • idk why but David Coverdale kinda looked like Christopher Walken with long hair back then lmfao

  • @codyjt5150, oh my god I do see it, he really did look like Christopher Walken

  • I have to say I like this better than the original too. But I am crazy. :)

  • They sound like Joe Walsh's band during the solo spot. It's different but I wouldn't say great. It's good and they put their mark on it but it sounds too much like something Joe Walsh would've done back in the 70's.

  • Jon Lord looking very hairy indeed....

  • How 'rare' can the video be? It's on YouTube, for god's sake! LOLOL

  • @HeathenLoveGod Well it's more "rare" than "universal" bytheway! :P

  • @HeathenLoveGod he propably ment rare until he uplouded it

  • @HeathenLoveGod if there is only one version of any video on youtube then it is considered rare.

  • fantastic

  • Sweet rock n roll!

  • Great cover they made it their own, good job

  • with tommy bolin?

  • @shinybald36 ~ nah, this was released in oct. '78, tommy departed (permanently) dec. 76. this is with moody and marsden on git.

  • Lie Down of this album is the best track Whitesnake ever did !

  • Outstanding. WOW! I will have to check out their first albums. I thought that they were just a hair band.

  • @benzuckerman check out "Ready An' Willing" and "Come An' Get It", and especially their first live album, "Live in The Heart Of The City". It's just beautiful.

  • @benzuckerman Far from it. They were one of the best Blues Hard Rock/ Metal bands ever. Like "bessadale" said, check the old stuff out. You won't be disappointed! Cheers.

  • Yes its funky rock and very their own - that's ok. Nice and raunchy - good interpretation of the lyrics - thanks to WillbaDissidente for posting.

  • I like this version - yes its funky rock and very their own - that's ok. Nice and raunchy - good interpretation.

(For the World) The "talkbox" make all the money !

  • not that rare i have the CD

  • It's amazing of how you can make a song sound so different! AMAZING!

  • brill

  • better than the origional

  • @qwertyuiop6557 worse than the original. no one can replase the beatles

  • Badassed!

  • there's always a b-side to every tune. I've been very fortunate to hear this one. Coverdale has to give cudos to Lord and Pace though

  • "you brought Poison to play at our wedding"

"actually we're White Snake... a tribute band to Poison" xD

  • is good,I haven't even opened my imagination

  • Excellent

  • The most creative version of Whitesnake Coverdale ever had....

  • BIG WHITESNAKE AND BEATLES FAN! AWESOME VIDEO AND VERSION OF

    BEATLES...DAY TRIPPER!

  • BEING A HUGE BEATLES FAN....COULDN'T BELIEVE WHEN I FOUND THIS GEM.....

WHAT DO U GET WHEN U PUT HUGE TALENT ON TOP OF AWESOME TALENT...?.

WELL ...COVERDALE'S "SNAKES" DOING THEIR OWN UNIQUE VERSION OF THE BEATLES ...."DAY TRIPPER" ....THIS IS THE WAY MUSIC IS SUPPOSED TO BE!

    GO DAAAAAAAAAAAAAVE!

  • h the guitar and the voice- just great!

  • Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwww....this is FUCKING amazing!!!!!

  • HaHaha OMG...Best song by Whitesnake

  • this blows

  • wow, how not to do 'day tripper' by whitesnake

  • thanks for posting this

  • Um...I believe Coverdale is trying to be too much like Robert Plant in this...

  • @rolltide91011 that describes his whole career

  • @KataVideo obviously you know nothing of coverdale.. or have little insight when it comes to music.

  • @leppardsnake "duh, you don't like my music, duh, so you don't know a lot about music, duh"

thanks for falling right in that hole, jackass. LMFAO

  • @KataVideo if anyone is a jackass it is you. I disagree with your view that coverdale has always been like Robert Plant. Sure they had some things that were a like, and they started out at the same time.. They are very different if you look over their long careers especially. And obviously you haven't since you claim that "that describer his whole careeer"... I'm a bit tired of hearing these Plant comparisons. A few songs people thought were zeppelin a-like and all of a sudden coverdale's whole

  • @KataVideo career have been covering plant? come on! early whitesnake was nothing like zeppelin.. deep purple wasn't either.. Coverdale is a baritone (plant is not!) These people who continue to do these comparisons either can't stand coverdale succeess, or they have only heard Still of the night..

TO me coverdale has more feeling in his voice, and generally a better voice..

  • @leppardsnake I couldn't agree more

  • i love the beatles but i never heard of whitesnake. this wasn't too hot of a cover.

  • check the bad brains version.

  • this is good .some waht different.nice arrangements'koolbut the beatles are best antonio

  • 1970's + talk box = nicey nice

  • I love Whitesnake & The Beatles but I've got to say that Whitesnake didn't do too hot of a cover. XD! <33

  • @TheBeatlesLady I honestly don't think they could have done it any other way than this; by 'heavy-bluesing' it up.

  • If you like this, you might like Lone Star's version of She Said She Said, another Beatles song.

  • FIGATA DI CANZONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DAY TRIPPER... GIJOOUGGYOOUUU GJGJ GJ... CON LA VOCE DISTORTA.....

  • i like how they made it sleazy

  • not fussed on this cover

  • OH YEAH !!! I think this was a great classic.

  • i never thought id say this, but it i a good cover.

  • This sounds cool, I love The Beatles btw.

  • wow this is Funky :D

  • Great

  • it ruined the guitar part...

  • I'm not a Whitesnake fan and don't usually care for this sort of music but I love what they've done here :-)

  • This is a really interesting cover. I still like the original best, but this provides a nice contrast. I love the breakdown and the following talkbox part! It fits this version perfectly! This is such a fun and easy song to play! I think it might be the first song I learned on guitar and I still like to play it!

  • Mr Coverdale was and is the first vocalist to take The Beatles, The Stones, Purple, and all to the next level!! Very nice but if want to hear thye real thing check....Fool For Your Loving!

  • Great !!! thanks

  • yep, this is rare.

  • Me likey.

  • wow great video

  • Was David Coverdale living in a monestary at the time this was made ? What's with the robe?

  • @ascender555 he's a gypsy over 1000 years old. ;)

  • I'm probably in the minority here, but I dig this. They put a nice little funk to it. Is Sykes the guitarist here?

  • @chris1969kw no he ain't.. marsden / moodey is.. sykes was whitesnake's guitarist from 1984 to 1986 (this video is from 78)

  • alrightythen :-)

  • Wow! This cover makes me feel like I'm hearing this song for the first time.

  • I'm not a Whitesnake junky all though I like Coverdales voice but I realy like the arrangement on this version. It's simple and not a Beatles copy! Early work from most bands are the best because it's before they get too studio savy and start to OVER produce things! Two thumbs up!!!!!

  • I love Whitesnake but this version SUCKS!!! David's not that bad but heated the arrangement....

    Sorry David, love you anyway...

  • meant to say "hated" sorry!!

  • This propably would have been a hit if it had been released in 1976 instead of

1978. Peter Frampton and Joe Walsh and Aerosmith all made use of the

heil talk box vocoder. and later it was introduced into soul music with Zapp

and Roger and now a lot of the music is autotune and practically sounds

    like the talk box.

  • It's a nice version of Day Tripper, indeed! :D

  • Nice, but when you talk about the Beatles nothing compares to the real thing.

  • best cover of tripper I've ever heard

  • @Jmacpwns14

    I agree !!!

  • Great! So tight ...

  • best tripper cover, fun to play along if you suck like me...

  • as a Whitesnake and Beatles fan .... I really have never been a fan of this version.... sorry... not that it's sooo bad.... just seems too forced... it never attains a solid groove.... too scattered

  • thanks for the post.... this has been a favorite of mine for 30 some years.

And kids...stop arguing. And just enjoy.

  • The original Whitesnake line up and the best. Thanks for posting. Happy days....

  • Good shroom music...
