it is cartoons everywhere now. kids can watch their own channel with only cartoon. i miss the days when you go up in the weekends, before your parents, and watch cartoons on tv. at one point i miss my childhood.

The "friends" were separated by the time the MLP half aired with the tales series on the Disney Channel. Maybe the "friends" didn't share enough because of how they alternated on the second half of this program with the intro here.

When Disney was airing My Little Ponies, the show was split into two parts. The Pony Tales got the intro and the first part of the episode and the older versions got the second part along with the end theme.
