the first time i watched this i had a feeling something was going to happen coz for the first time they were really happy and then it was all taken away. the song compliments this scene so well and gives a great effect. true it could of had a lil more instead of him just walking away with her but regardless of that it is still a great scene for a great anime.

Ich hab es durch das Opening zu Ef- melodies gefunden, zuerst memories und dann melodies geschaut und ich fand es sehr prägend und wundervoll zugleich Q_Q

The saddest part is that in the VN, Yuuko was actually pregnant with her and Yuu's child. Kinda sucks that they left that out in the anime.

Mark me down a thumb if you want, but I thought it was hilariously bad. They don't dwell on it long enough and the death itself is maybe THE stupidest I've ever seen. Unexpected deaths mirror how fragile life is and how it can be broken all too suddenly. That is a good thing. Ef just didn't pull it off. The death was TOO unexpected. It is, under the proper category, a "WTF" death. It shifted the mood too fast from "La la, I'm waiting here" to "cough cough OMG I'm dying.. better sing something."

@Evnyofdeath She was run over by a car. It's like they're saying "We've got to kill her off quickly and conveniently!" Would it be too much to ask for a little foreshadowing? Foreshadowing was made for scenes like this! Why not take advantage of it? You can't just kill someone off to advance the plot! You have to think long and hard about HOW you will take your character's lives along with why you are doing so! It is too unexpected. Did you expect it? No. That's impossible.

@Rezindez I know this was 4 months ago, so you prolly won't see (or care about) this, but whatever XD Well there was the ball... And both characters are introduced at a church, they met at the church, their troubles began by the disaster at the church, and with the theme of ending things where they began perpetuating thrughout the anime, it's pretty clear she was going to kick it at the church. How dare you accuse this anime of not foreshadowing. This is the most well though out show ever :]

@Rezindez Well if you watched Memories you'd know she was dead. It happens when things finally get straightened out, and when things seem great. It's intended to crush you by how sudden and unnecessary her death is. It is sad :< But as long as you love the show, it's all good.

@SjSharks182 I've seen Memories. I had no way of knowing she was dead. I thought they were just living apart from one another for some reason, and there was no reason for me to think otherwise. I understand how a sudden death can emotionally affect you. But the thing is, even for what they were trying to do, this scene felt rushed. Again, it seems like they just needed to move the plot forward. And what about that guy in the car? Wouldn't you notice if you crushed somebody beneath your vehicle?
