I've started to make this job with a plotter (craftrobo) 250,00 euro, and a heat press on ebay 295,00 euro , and now I start to gain some extra money, with shirts
Got the answer from questions asked earlier thanks,I wish to start up doing t shirts for my martial arts gym,can you recommend a heat press, cutter, and what vinyl to get me started please,we are a charity, and don't want to lose money out of our hard earned kitty, many thanks.glad I saw your video.
heyya sir...i never tried vinyl transfer though i just discovered it here...I can print with screenprint,.how much that heat press?or all of it? to make a complete print?

hey man, one question i got a creation pro h.k vinyl cutter and right now i'm stucked with the size. i don't no how to adjust the size on the cutter and how to adjust the size from the software to suit to the cuter adjustment?
I would like to see a demo of just detailed and defined you can get with the vinyl to heat press app. The shirts of today with the " Gothic" style are pretty detailed.
Is there a website that you can send your art work to, so that they can print it on good quality transfer paper for you that you can just use it on the heat press just in case you don't have the a good printer?
I have pretty much the same question as JoshEllsworth.. I haven't bought any vinyl because I don't know what kind is good for my shirt?? I want vinyl that will last for a long time!! Thanks
Where do you get the good heat tranfer vinyl rolls? I been wanting to create my own designs for my own purposes and I have everything minus the vinyl for shirts..
Also what blades do you use? My machine uses 45 & 60 degree blades.
How many washes before they start to fade though bro?!... Are there any heat transfer techniques that effectively rival or defeat traditional screenprinting?
ok, so for this type you don't need sublimation ink right? because the color is got from the vinyl? Also, how can a person print or plot let's say, a picture or something with different colors?
i think its cool but it seems it has to be done one at a time...where silk screening u can do multiple projects/shirts dont get me wrong i like the vinyl also : )
that is a long time for that type of pressing, isnt 7 seconds the norm? what temperature are you set at? thanks for the rubbing technique on the cool peel though, i havent tried that yet.
I notice you used sisors to cuf the vinyl of at the cuter. I would like share a handy trick. If you have groves or any stright edge on the front of your cutter use a letter opener and just let the stright edge guide you it's quick and makes a smooth cut off.
Nice one. We've just got some material for our first tee shirts but we forgot the instructions so Josh thanks for your work here. We wish you & your business well.
@hijodiponggolz I got a vinyl cutter and heat press for $500 that came with software, just gotta play around with it and you can do whatever you want. its really not that expensive to do
Thats bullshit you don't need that much money. You can do all this for about $500 or even less. Get a used Heat Press off craigslist for like $200 or less. Get a vinyl cutter from USCutter.com for under $300. And then buy some vinyl rolls for $50 off amazon.
@beaner4life Nice link dude. I've been looking for those Vinyl Cutters on the cheap for a while. Now, if I can only find a cheap White & Color blank tshirt supplier that doesn't have a minimum and doesn't require a resale license.
Hi Josh...for someone just getting started in this business...how difficult is it to get the design centered?. With the vinyl you are working with, if you find you didn't center it as well as you would like to...can you reheat and move it again? Thanks, Claudia
Is it possible just to print out the image on the heat transfer paper with a regular ink jet and then apply it on the shirt with a heat transfer and if yes how is the quality; or do I have to use the vinyl cutter?
yes, if you go to office supplies or specialty paper stores you can find "light" or "dark" fabric transfer paper, you can use normal ink-jet printer then iron it with a normal household iron over it. just cut it with normal scissors and that will do the trick.
its not necessary to use a heat press with those.
the quality is actually pretty good, of course it wont match a screen printed t-shirt.
Can you practice on old T Shirts? I just got my new kit from Imprintables and I made a nice transfer with my cutter. I''ve tried everything but it won't stick to my T Shirt. Any ideas?
if you want to stick on your shirt you should by that iron on paper stuff, any computer shop will do it, and it goes right through your regular printer =]

Militia7 2 years ago
Heat applied film won't fade. Some films will rival screen printing. This is for under 48 pieces, screen print is better for over 48 pieces.

and how can you print more than one color?

The durability of most of these materials will outlast the life of the garment without cracking, peeling or fading.
To do more than one color, you just repeat the process as many times as needed. You can apply layer over layer.
