I brought a PSP just to play Daxter as I loved the the first 3 so much. Great games. Lost Frontier isproving to be an ok game, alot like i is discribed in the review. But it almost seems like it was made by like half the original company Naughty Dog or something. There is plenty of the old goodness in there but not everything the first 3 had.
Jak X I had 4 copies of on 2 PS2, Still couldn't finish it due to glitches. Probably just bad luck but had me wondering.

I am the biggest jak fan in the world. and I can honestly say that this is the worst game I have ever played in my entire 16 years of life... and I have played a looooooot of games.

ohh and I wasn't thrilled about the precursors true identity in Jak 3 but i can understand and the change in keiras voice between 2 and 3 was disappointing and some of the guns in 3 were pointless but those flaws in 3 were still better than this garbage.
All i can say is Go away High impact games. Dark Daxter no just no, Keira looks like the design of dudes in 2/3. I wanted a jak 4 with an offensive white eco like in jak 1and instead i get the lost frontier with a gunstaff. not amused. And Jak doesn't have the same Intensity from his designs in the Naughty dog games.
@caelinnis Jak X was just a spin off, it doesnt have anything to do with the previous story. And lost frontier cant even be considered part of the story because it wasnt even made by naughty dog.
In my opinion it would of been better to not release this shitty game. I thought Jak and daxter through daxter were all 10s. Daxter was insane for being a psp game. High Impact Games really is a terrible developer. Not just this game but I got Ratchet and Clank size matters which is absolutely awful.
I thought it was okay. Of course it wasn't as good as the rest, except maybe Jak X (since I hate racing), but it was enjoyable. At least until the Dark Daxter parts.

jak the lost frontier is one ps2 which is cool cause the bad camera does apply so really the only bad thing about this game is dark daxter which i hated too - so the score should b an 8.6

I got be honest guys, I went on a whim and bought it for the ps2. I'm really liking it! As a Jak and Dax game, I will admit it's not a lot like it and not a good one. BUT, as a game, a regular o' game, it's pretty darn fun! It just fails at being a J&D game. No open world exploration, more like levels like a R&C game. But I'm pleasantly surprised. Only issue I got is the terrible camera position.

i actually thought this was a good game. its no where near as awesome as the jaks on ps2, but it was pretty entertaining for its price. i did have a few minor complaints though:
. Dark daxter was totally fucking gay and unnesesary. i prefered the reg. daxter sections in jak 2 and 3
. no goatee. not a big complaint cause you can by it for 3 orbs in the secrets menu
. NO PEACEMAKER. i didnt like the green eco grenade launcher. the lobber i think it was?
@TheAnimatingdiddy I read in a interview that Naughty Dog would actually love to go back to Jak and Daxter at some point ,their just busy with Uncharted right now. So Jak and Daxter for the PS3 might happen. I just hope so :(

@destinyawaitsx3 There's a new game that came out this year called Playstation Move Heroes and it has Jak and Daxter, Rachet and Clank, and Sly Cooper with his friend Bentley. They're making both a new Sly Cooper and a new Rachet and Clank which is most likely a hint that they're going to be making a new Jak soon..... I hope they do.
story-1/5 [seemed like they were just doing something for money in how horrible the story line was. i meen honestly they did not even explain WHY theirs a shortage of eco or WHY jack is unstable ]
animation-3/5 i know they have a signature animation style but with today's technology they could of upgraded it a little bit even for the PsP
The mutated Daxter and the PSP controls were difficult to understand... 3/5. I've played all the Jak and Daxter games to date and none of them were as difficult in terms of controls and confusing in story line as The Lost Frontier. The dog fights were a lot of fun, but I would have preferred to play it on the PS2 instead.
this by far the weakest Jak game :( (I know it's not made by naught dog but still) the only things I liked about this game was the air combate, the leveling up system and some of the eco powers, But the story is crap, dark & light have been taken out, The Dark Daxter is pointless and the designs are no where near as good as the original trilogy, hell I'd rather played Jak X over this.
Naught Dog for crying out loud make Jak 4! Uncharted is amazing but after Uncharted 3 go back to Jak & Daxter

I got be honest guys, I went on a whim and bought it for the ps2. I'm really liking it! As a Jak and Dax game, I will admit it's not a lot like it and not a good one. BUT, as a game, a regular o' game, it's pretty darn fun! It just fails at being a J&D game. No open world exploration, more like levels like a R&C game. But I'm pleasantly surprised. Only issue I got is the terrible camera position.

i actually thought this was a good game. its no where near as awesome as the jaks on ps2, but it was pretty entertaining for its price. i did have a few minor complaints though:
. Dark daxter was totally fucking gay and unnesesary. i prefered the reg. daxter sections in jak 2 and 3
. no goatee. not a big complaint cause you can by it for 3 orbs in the secrets menu
. NO PEACEMAKER. i didnt like the green eco grenade launcher. the lobber i think it was?
. it sucks on ps2.

They're making both a new Sly Cooper and a new Rachet and Clank which is most likely a hint that they're going to be making a new Jak soon..... I hope they do.

The mutated Daxter and the PSP controls were difficult to understand... 3/5. I've played all the Jak and Daxter games to date and none of them were as difficult in terms of controls and confusing in story line as The Lost Frontier. The dog fights were a lot of fun, but I would have preferred to play it on the PS2 instead.

this by far the weakest Jak game :( (I know it's not made by naught dog but still) the only things I liked about this game was the air combate, the leveling up system and some of the eco powers, But the story is crap, dark & light have been taken out, The Dark Daxter is pointless and the designs are no where near as good as the original trilogy, hell I'd rather played Jak X over this.
Naught Dog for crying out loud make Jak 4! Uncharted is amazing but after Uncharted 3 go back to Jak & Daxter

Personaly for me I hated this game, Naughty Dog are the only people who can make a good Jak game (I liked Daxter but this is different). The only good feature in this game is the new eco powers and HIG didn't bring them to their full potental.

This is the worst game ever i played the first 3 Jak and Daxter games and i LOVED them, then when i finished the third one i saw the Lost Fronier coming out i was so excited, but then ohhhhhh boy when i started playing every-single thing was different i did not like the games style, controls.... everything was ruined, but i was too optimistic considering it wasn't made by naughty dog, Crash was ruined and now this too, Naughty dog don't do the Same with uncharted ://
