A very special video this is. Spivakov has a nice habit (not only on this video) of looking up as if to ask for inspiration from above - which seems to be granted him. Spivakov watches his concertmaster like a son would a father.

My teacher (Boris Kuniev) is the concertmaster in this video. Unfortunately he pass-away two years ago. I admire him really a lot, fantastic teacher and wonderful person.

This is very beautiful. This is why I prefer the smaller ensemble, it is so clean, direct, and simple, right to the point. Spivakov knows how to get the best from the music and musicians.

This has been about the twentieth time that I have listened to this video. the tears are rolling down on my cheeks. I also spent several hours reading everything I found on Spivakov and the Moscow Virtuosi. When I hear music like that I experience the return of a ray of hope that God may exist after all.
