The kindle is infected with DRM. When you purchase a kindle, you must agree to use the DRM system. Since all of the Kindle books you buy are in proprietary DRM format, you are also promising to not share them with friends; And because you promise to not bypass the DRM there is no way to move them to another device/computer. You're locked into the Kindle and Amazon. If you try to move them to a new reader/computer, Amazon can end your service and remove access to books you already bought.

What is the difference between this application kindle and Adobe reader?

I mean if I used adobe reader wisely (store my books in one folder somewhere in the PC with a shortcut), I would have the same effect.

There are many books that are kindle ONLY. You can now get these without spending hundreds on a kindle. There are also many free book previews that you can now access. This defeats the purpose of nothing.

it would be unlikely that you would want to expand the pages to greater size than the width of the kindle screen, as the human eye can only read a line of a curtain length before you need to turn your head, which is no good for continuous reading.

Amazon can delete ebooks on Kindle devices without the users authorisation... So if amazon sells you an ebook that is not allowed to sell they remove it from your device. And thats ... somehow strange.
