Video games aren't bad for your brain. In fact, plenty of video games encourage critical thinking and problem solving skills. Lack of excercise is bad for your brain and lack of human contact won't do any favors for your mental health. However, as long as you don't spend day after day playing them, there's no problem. It's no worse than entertaining yourself with books or crossword puzzles.

That was the magic of the cartoons of yesteryear; they never insulted your intelligence like many do now. Some still take chances, such as an episode of Batman: Brave and the Bold doing an entire episode to tribute 'The Great Piggy Bang Robbery'. This was Plucky's FIRST and ONLY balls-off-the-walls insanity cartoon, like how the ORIGINAL Daffy Duck used to be when he would be going "WOO-HOO-HOO-HOO-HOO" before "You're despthicable" came up as his trademark.
