• this rules. I became a fan like, right after they stopped touring. I'd of never seen them, but it's nice to just have the possibility.

  • WHOA! I was at the same show...upper deck...but still! Did you ctach them at terminal 5?

  • I saw NIN back in 2006. They were amazing.

  • This video has been flagged by WMG records because they are assholes.

  • epilepsy warning!

  • This is great! Got a Reznor autograph on a copy of "The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer" (only thing I had).

  • I dont believe in God but i sure believe in Trent Reznor.

  • @forashy616 I'm quite sure Trent Reznor exists :)

  • Weird . . . they kind of remind me of Rammstein.

  • @shrikechan then you must be pretty young... cuz it is entirely the other way around.

  • hell ya this is badass!!!

  • look at all these guys with their hardons for this middle aged fuckface

    /music industry

  • yay reznor!

  • Reznor ftw!

  • the fragil is a brilliant album

  • Damn, they didn't play this when I saw them. A shame b/c I love this tune. Awesome post, dude.

  • i was at this show!

  • Last time we saw NIN was when they did a show with M Manson. Always a great show!

  • always a fist-fuckingly good time with T-Rizzle.

  • tooltime what album is this from? I've always been a backseat NiN fan. but I've had a hard time finding really good songs from them. I like most of the singles, but I don't listen to industrial like I used to, (land of rape and honey!!) This one is actually pretty good, maybe because of the live setting... And just out of plain curiosity, are you a fan of Scott Klayton?

  • @rounder421 this is off of The Fragile

  • they should have warnings on the ticket for people with epilepsy... :)

  • I saw them in Hong Kong. Fucking excellent. Easily one of the top 3 concerts of my life.

  • Wow.. it's been ages since I last heard Nine Inch Nails.

  • cool beans, colour me jealous, looks like a good show.

  • this is better than the live footage on the NIN channel. though, i saw Trent when he was on drugs - and it was better. :P

  • refreshing

  • Really nice footage and because its NIN the win is already of unstoppable levels. Trent Reznor = one of the most inspiring songwriters and singers to me

  • Awesome Dude! I had just picked up the remaster of "Pretty Hate Machine" and was reminiscing that it was twenty years ago I was really into the original

  • Anyone else read the description of 'I filmed this.' in a joyful child's voice?

  • One of my favorite bands. They have a unique coherent soundscape with good bits of the 80s & 90s & onwards.

  • Just amazing...

  • Yeah, I never "got" NIN. They don't do anything for me musically, and I listen to just about anything... Highly overrated (again, just my opinion), but I can see this is really good quality for a concert video and I'm sure it really pleased a few people. :)

  • @NotoriousElderly0 I can't help but think you want fanboys to get angry at you

  • @grungeiac Which is why my demeanor was more polite than I'm comfortably being, said other people probably would enjoy it and even stated it was just my opinion. Riiiight, I'm just trying to rile up the NIN fanyobys, aren't I? You know, opinions are a lot like onions, in that they're spelled similar. Well kinda.

  • @NotoriousElderly0 see you just had tonnes of fun replying to me right there

  • Tooltime posts concert footage? well i'll be a trent reznor.

  • @35TCK I have lots of concert footage, but mostly of local bands

  • @tooltime9901

Well, If there are any really good ones, please don't hesitate to upload 'em. Unlike some of your subscribers, I actually like variety.

  • I would hate to be in control of the CCU there :D

  • Among rock-stars-turned-motion-picture-composers, I would have guessed that Danny Elfman would have won an Oscar before Trent Reznor. Crazy. That was the sweetest Oscar victory EVER.

  • HEY GUYS, GUESS WHAT? MUSIC TASTE IS SUBJECTIVE, SO SOMETIMES PEOPLE DISAGREE ABOUT IT!

  • i miss NIN

  • i love NIN. downward spiral was definitely one of the best albums in the past 20 years

  • Lucky bastard! haha, at first I was a bit like "this would be better in a small venue," but then it got loud xD

  • fuck you man. so jealous.

  • 8 people who watched this are die hard country music fans.

  • can you put the rest of the concert up

  • Yay! I've been a fan since I was in 8th grade, so I was so excited to finally see NIN in 2005 and again during the Lights in the Sky tour.

And yeah, Reznor is not the best singer in the world by far, but his other musical talents more than make up for it.

  • NIN was at it's peak in live performance in early 2000's, but this ain't half bad.

  • FUCK YEAH BABY :-D

  • Jones Beach... Do you live on Long Island? That's where I go to see bands.

  • Typical Godless atheists listening to satanist music...pffff

  • @steinarrexfaroensis Yeah, Atheists have great taste.

  • @MorbidMira True dat lol

Never was a big NIN fan though

  • NIN, my favorite band of all time.... You have excellent taste Peter

  • FUCK THE REST AND STAB IT DEAD.

  • NIN sounds pretty good in concert, especially considering how synthetic their music can sound. Good stuff.

  • Terrible. That guy doesn't know how to sing. He sounds like he was having his intestines removed through his mouth.

  • @TheGrizzly12341 Perhaps he is trying to sound like he sounds, lol. The music isn't supposed to be some shit you tap your foot to. You know, Maynard James Keenan said something to this effect in one of the few interviews Tool has given. Ever since then I have called mainstream bullshit "foot tap". Stick to the foot tap, son.

  • @mindsmirror, What are you talking about? Son? foot tap? I never said anything about this music supposing to sound like something that I would tap my foot to. I don't care what he said in any interview, this guy's singing still sounds like he was having his intestines removed through his mouth. And if it's your intention to insult me because my opinion doesn't align to yours, then you're a fucking piece of shit.

  • @TheGrizzly12341 Well, this guy isn't Maynard James Keenan. I was mentioning it because the interview is one where an artist made it clear that their goal was NOT to sound pretty and nice. The sound they produce is supposed to make you uncomfortable at times. You claimed his singing was poor and my point is that he is TRYING to sound like that. I don't care what your opinion is, I'm just telling you to go back to foot tap, son.

  • @mindsmirror, then that's horrible. BTW, I don't care about this "foot tap" bullshit that you keep mentioning, and I'm not your fucking son, dipshit.

  • @TheGrizzly12341 Son, I'm very sorry that you can't handle what I've said. Look son, you like foot tap and you shouldn't be watching NIN videos. Why don't you go find a foot tap video that you enjoy instead of coming in here and insulting things that you don't understand? Foot tap is your thing, we get it son. You don't have to keep going on about how this isn't foot tap, son.

  • @mindsmirror, I'm very sorry that you're too stupid to realize what I've said. I "understand" this video, and his voice sucks. It's your own damn fault if my opinion on this asshole offends you. You're still a fucking piece of shit, who makes a lot of dumb assertions about things you don't understand.

  • @TheGrizzly12341 At no time have I indicated that you've insulted or offended me, son. What I said you don't understand is the fact that the artist is intentionally sounding like he does, son. He isn't trying to "sing" in the manner that your foot tap singers do, which is why it sounds different, even to the point of making the listener uncomfortable. This all goes back to my original statement and it is what causes me to believe you do not grasp what the artist is doing, son.

  • @mindsmirror, we already addressed that he's intentionally trying to sound like that. I already gave my response to that. You're like a mindless Christian who don't understand that I understand. And you're still a fucking dimwitted piece of shit, son.

  • @TheGrizzly12341 Your response was "that's horrible". Quite vague and meaningless as far as responses go. Don't drag religion into this to try to make yourself feel superior, son. You wont acknowledge that the artist could be intentionally using a vocal style that sounds "un-melodic" and even makes you uncomfortable at times. You claim to have responded to this, but that response wasn't a response, son. To now pretend as though it was is quite disingenuous, son.

  • @mindsmirror, that wasn't my response. And I didn't drag religion into this, I am showing how you're acting just like a mindless Christian. Since you want to say "son" all of the time, I can say that you're just as stupid as a Christian apologist. I already did address that I understand that, when I said that it still sucks. What part of not understanding that I understand that he's trying to sound terrible is still being terrible that you don't understand?

  • @TheGrizzly12341 You never said "it still sucks", son. Go back and read your own response. Now you're changing from saying his voice is poor to saying that "it" (Which I assume to be the music itself) "sucks". Before I was addressing your specific statement concerning his voice, by telling you that he is sounding like that for a reason. Whether or not it is "bad" is subjective. My point is that it's not that he is trying to sound like your foot tap and failing. He is purposely sounding like this

  • @mindsmirror, and now you're playing word games, just like a brainwashed retarded Christian. You know exactly what I meant.

  • @TheGrizzly12341 Are you still rambling, son? I'm sorry that you're so into foot tap that you feel the need to pretend that anyone who points out that people actually do things that aren't foot tap on purpose is a "brainwashed retarded christian". Please, in the future, stop giving further credit to christians by capitalizing that word, son. That word, along with "god", needs no capitalization, son.

  • @TheGrizzly12341 It's funny that you're actually using mirrored accounts to thumb up your ramblings, son.

  • @mindsmirror, what the hell are you talking about? I think my comments stand for itself. And I think your comments shows that you're a fucking idiot, I wouldn't have to "mirror" accounts or whatever.

  • @TheGrizzly12341 Son, I think it's time for you to give up. You've lost, son. I don't see why you can't just go back to enjoying your mainstream foot tap. It's not that difficult, son. Clearly I'm not concerned with your insults.

  • @TheGrizzly12341 Please go away and never post a comment again. Thank you.

  • @MaskedBlazer7, no. I'll respond to that idiot as long as he's posting stupidity.

  • @TheGrizzly12341 Notice how I keep addressing the issue at hand, while you keep going crazy and trashing me on a personal level, son. Then you go and claim to be the victim of some kind of "attack". I simply pointed out why he sounds like that. You like foot tap, we get it, son! It's time to accept this and move on with your foot tapping lifestyle, son.

  • @mindsmirror, notice how you keep trashing me by calling me son, and you ignore the fact that you're doing it, when it's your intention to do so, and then claim that you're not attacking anyone on a personal level.

  • @mindsmirror I like that you don't consider Nine Inch Nails mainstream, even though they (he) have won 2 Grammies and been nominated 12 times.

  • @skiddlecrumms If you like foot tap, more power to you, my son.

  • @skiddlecrumms That's a round about way of saying "go back and read what I wrote, it never implies that NIN isn't mainstream. What I said is that I call mainstream bullshit 'foot tap', son". Not all mainstream music is foot tap, son.

  • @TheGrizzly12341 What are you on about? I've heard mentally deficient people using this comparison to black metal vocals but not to industrial rock, you must be some kind of super mong :O

  • @zalmanusa, I don't care what mentally deficient people say or think in regards to their comparisons to other music. I'm not talking about black metal or industrial metal in particular. I just think this guy's "singing" (if we want to call it that) sucks. Do you understand? Or are you too mentally deficient to understand that?

  • @TheGrizzly12341 What's the point of posting your opinion on his singing if you respond so strongly to people who think differently? You clearly can't handle criticism so you shouldn't post your opinion in an attempt to get it (which it clearly is, otherwise you would not have posted something so certain and provocative ["I think his singing sucks"]).

  • @zalmanusa, actually, other people seem to respond against me. It's other people who seem offended by my criticism. All I did was simply say something about the singer's voice, and the next thing I know, I get personal attacks and assumptions. So I'm just reacting back.

  • @TheGrizzly12341 Nobody has personally attacked you, son. You're being hypersensitive.

  • @zalmanusa, am I only supposed to say things that align with everyone's opinion on the video? I'm not a mindless fanboy. And I didn't attack anyone in my original post, which 2 of you seem to have a problem with.

  • @TheGrizzly12341 So now I have a problem with the fact that you didn't attack anyone?

  • @zalmanusa, no, it was my original post which 2 of you seem to have a problem with, in which I didn't attack anyone. I don't care if you guys like this music. That's fine. And I expressed what I thought about the singer's voice. But I don't make fun or make dumb assertions about other people who don't share my view, and intentionally compare them to mentally deficient people and/or call them a super mong.

  • @TheGrizzly12341 Look son, I have yet to claim at any time that I have been attacked in any way, shape or form. So, please don't imply that I did, son. You claim not to be a mindless fanboy, son, yet you require that all artists be foot tap artists. I don't even listen to NIN, son. I respect the artist though, son. Respect is key, son. It is something you lack, son.

  • @TheGrizzly12341 Well, I don't like this music, I just found your original statement alluring, sorry for wasting both of our time.

  • Fuck yeah!

  • good shit

  • I wish I had a camera phone when I saw them in Toronto in '05. It was on their tour of small club venues and I was close enough to Trent to get his sweat on me.

  • Fucking awesome. :D

  • Reminds me of when I saw them in 06. They started the show with this song and the same way.

  • Times like this I almost miss being 14.

  • Trent ReSNORE. Oops, sorry, I forgot to put the ZZZZzzzzzz. :P

  • Lucky bastard. Unfortunately I never got the chance to see Reznor in concert.

The Fragile has to be my favorite work of Reznor's. Optimistic, introspective, hopeful, while still acknowledging the darkness, agony, and filth that permeated him at the time. His most spiritually multi-faceted album to date. The Downward Spiral is slightly overrated in my opinion, The Fragile will always be viewed as superior in my mind, as it is a more expansive, evolved Downward Spiral. Though both are wonderful.

  • lucky bastard.

"In September 2007, Reznor continued his attack on Universal Music Group at a concert in Australia, urging fans there to "steal" his music online instead of purchasing it legally. Reznor went on to encourage the crowd to "steal and steal and steal some more and give it to all your friends and keep on stealin'."

legend. the irony is that it makes me more likely to pay because i love him so much.

  • fine audio quality

  • meh

  • I hope they go back on tour again.....

  • People like what they like and that's fine but there is no way I would sit through this.

  • nice upload. glad i sub xD

  • Reznor still on form.

    Hell Yeah !

  • love it.

  • Just keeps getting better :)

  • He filmed it alright.

  • Didn't Trent Reznor stop doing live NIN concerts?

  • Yay NIN :)

  • so happy i got to see them live

  • Record any more? Because this is lovely.

  • @FranzDuckVideos the whole show

  • NIN is like fine wine, only gets better with age.
