Very Nice city, but only one thing try to make the town size bigger i mean like the size of the buildings they are to small and use minifigs but great job!
Spectacular stuff Janey. You probably don't remember me but we met at a RTL meeting years ago when I first came out of my dark ages. Matt (PepaQuin) suggested I catch a ride with you if you go to BW. Hearing the 'Ladies' in the background makes me proud to be Canadian. Keep up the awesomeness.
I have used a few tricks for the wires and motors. A number of years ago Lego had a few sets with micro motors, these come in very handy for micro work. Both the windmill and the water wheel have those motors built inside them which saves space and the need to hid a larger motor somewhere else.
Cablecars and train are both driven from 1 axle running by regular motor which is hidden in the lower area. Frankly, hiding the wires is easy by using different levels and landscaping, the real trick is making the set up modular so it can be taken apart and put together easily. Pre-planning places to hid the mechanics is paramount. One other hint I use is instead of spending a lot of space gearing down motors I just use a train speed controller to run the motors at a variable speed.

I just keep on wondering:
How do you keep making moving things, and where do you put all the wires?
well, glad you made a closeup of the Micro City.
Also love the DO NOT TOUCH sign

Oops, I accidentally deleted this comment... (hit "delete", instead of "reply"... sorry!)
Comment from legoalpha321: Wow! How do you get all the pieces you need?
I buy lots of sets, but most of the pieces I get are from a third party website called Bricklink. Its the ebay of used Lego bricks.
