I do not watch MLS because I perceive it to be of lower quality. The team I support plays in a city I have never been to, in a country I have never been to of which I hold no ancestry. The team I support plays in the UEFA Champions League every season. If a conversation about football wanders off the topic of that competition, I immediately clam up as I have either limited knowledge of any football outside of it or none at all.
