for real. first tutorial that chop it up for everyone to understand. i can proudly say i got the basics so i can now give practicing a try. big ups to you homie
what is the sample name you are using for the scratch by the way bro thankx for this vid it helped me out alot cuz im jest starting and know nothing about scratching
its cool how a lot of people think scratching is all about the hand moving the record but really its just as much the crossfader too. Like here, at the end when he's goin hard for a second hes barely doing anything with the vinyl hand and the crossfader hand is makin it happen. cool.
A really good way yo get better is to follow what hes doing PLUS set the curve on your fader to where the sound doesnt cut right away. Practice that way till you get decent. Even tough the sound doesnt come in right away you can do it. This way when you set the curve to play the music as soon as the fader moves, youre crabs will sound much better and crisper because you learned with the curve set back a bit...
there should be a curve control knob somewhere at the front of your mixer that controls the crossfader.. have u practised with no music to see how it sounds
your doing different patterns in your crabs.. I'm trying to learn how to do patterns - the record movements are changing with ur patterns.. could you slow it down a lil? btw you are baaad! like ur style for sure
i got a ? i got the denon x 120 mixer right now when i do the3 finger thing with the crossfader it dont cut up as it does when you do it in the video does anyone know why is that? *DjFigment*
Thanks for the extra tips, I got my crabs pretty good, but can't get them perfect to sound more cut, I think I'm just gonna do those simple basics for a long while, hoping to help me as I get quicker. Thanks again bruh
Very well put together tutorial. You broke it down in steps instead of other tutorials where they just scratch and don't tell you how to do it. Great job keep it up! How funny you don't crab hamster style....that is the norm for alot of djs.
