Ive seen wengers like this the thing you thought was magnetic is for a specialized alen wrench piece and the hole under the pliers held a little black stopper that prevented the pliers handle piece to go to far
If you still haven't identified this knife, you could take pictures and contact Wenger. It's what I did when I bought a used Wenger and had no idea what model it was. Turned out to be a Nomad (discontinued model).
Hi Tony. I think it is a Wenger Pocketgrip 557 multitool. It won't let me post a link for you, but if you use the search string "wenger pocketgrip 557 multitool" you'll find lots of links.
@Frankfurtxxl lol clever answer :D anyway not the same factory mate, they kept their business separate :) anyway, let put this down ok, that knife is wegner or wenger, appear to be the same company as victorynox but they run the business separate
I can't find that model, it is probably out of production. However I can tell you what some of it is... the hex hole was to hold a bit extension to use various screwdriver bits that was held in a holder that fitted on the hollow inside of the pliers. The snap out hex piece was probably for a leverage bar attachment. But I might be wrong on that last one.

Looks like a modification of the HORM which was designed for the explorer Mike Horn
It's not the exact model but a similar one. The hole inthe handle is for a hex bit

Tony, the thingy next to that other thingy is a vibrator opener, anyways.
The not magnetized thingy may be used to clean ones ears as well as to hang ones socks on, I think.
Anyways.

The gap under the plier grip is supposed to hold a selection of POZI bits that attach to the ''little thing'' on the base.
