I remember hearing about this and thinking it sounded like a good idea. Maybe it was, but I'll never know since after watching this trailer, I think I'd sooner stick my head in a blender than rent this movie. I'd rather watch "Santa vs. the Martians" than this junker. I just saw this movie last night. It was easily the weirdest thing I've ever seen, but once you give in to the strange (and low budget) style of the film, you might just notice that it is brilliant. One of the best films ever about mankind's need to distract itself from the crushing meaninglessness and terror that awaits those who contemplate their own nature and purpose. Doesn't hurt to watch it high either.

I love the Flaming Lips *MUSIC*, but this FILM:-( looks terrible. No wonder it has taken years to come out. They have probably been trying to make it look better somehow, but really, it just looks like something a few students who cannot act would have put together BETTER. Wayne and co - don't ruin your hard won reputation with this.

First off this movie looks awesome. I would much rather watch it than all of the crap being fed to us on the big screen. It has taken so long to make because Wayne has built everything for the movie by hand in his backyard. In my mind these guys are all so talented and creative that there is no way that it will be bad. The movie was great. I was fortunate enough to catch a free a showing at Lollapalooza this year. Stuck inside a hot dark tent and waiting an hour and a half was not so awesome but the film was. Plus, I enjoyed the cameo by Steve Burns who also enjoys his Flaming Lips.

I've always been a super huge fan of the Flaming Lips.

I'm not a lowbrow Hollywood movie fan at all, but it seems like Wayne Coyne and his pals could have done a much better job than this. I think My friends and I with Wayne's budget could have turned a much better piece of work. I'm not the least bit impressed anymore.

I saw it this weekend at Bonnaroo. Wayne was there to introduce it. I liked it, but clearly I was in the minority. When it started, the show was packed, half way through, after the people next to me got up and left I looked back from my place in the front row and there were tons of empty seats. By the time it was over, the place was almost empty.

If you like movies like Eraserhead, chances are good you'll appreciate this. If you were expecting something more mainstream, you'll be disappointed.
