I disagree about the light towel. Wool is immensely more likely to run than toweling. A dark towel wont hurt your knitting but dye shed from your knitting can and will ruin a light towel.
Great job on ur knitting and that puppy at the end of your video is a adorable!! :) oh and 2 questions for ya.. How long does it usually take to dry? And could you block something that is made out of acrylic yarn? :)
@CrochetBallerina How long it takes to dry depends on how much water the yarn holds. Laceweight silk/mohair dries really quickly while worsted weight wool takes much longer. As for acrylic, it pretty much stays in its manuafctured condition and is hard to block into a new shape. I always use natural fibers for lace.

If you needed to wash the shawl for any reason would you need to reblock if you washed it? Or do you only need to block it once?

You'll need to block it every time you wash it. A pain, but showing the lace off at it's best is worth it!
