  • Wow, for some reason I always thought blocking was so much more complicated than that! Thank you for the video!

  • I disagree about the light towel. Wool is immensely more likely to run than toweling. A dark towel wont hurt your knitting but dye shed from your knitting can and will ruin a light towel.

  • Great job on ur knitting and that puppy at the end of your video is a adorable!! :) oh and 2 questions for ya.. How long does it usually take to dry? And could you block something that is made out of acrylic yarn? :)

  • @CrochetBallerina How long it takes to dry depends on how much water the yarn holds. Laceweight silk/mohair dries really quickly while worsted weight wool takes much longer. As for acrylic, it pretty much stays in its manuafctured condition and is hard to block into a new shape. I always use natural fibers for lace.

  • @planetpurl ok thanks.

  • If you needed to wash the shawl for any reason would you need to reblock if you washed it? Or do you only need to block it once?

    Thanks

  • @samandlevi13

You'll need to block it every time you wash it. A pain, but showing the lace off at it's best is worth it!
