most abusive parents are narcissists, they do emotional abuse because they see their kids are an extension of theirselves and they do not have the abilitty to empthise
First person I've ever seen who hasn't been like " There's no bruises, suck it up." -Theres scratches on my arms.
"Just ignore it." -My ipods battery only last 12 hours.
"It could be worse." - I always feel like crap thanks to it.
"He's not even hitting you or anything, youre dramatic." -Do you get constantly criticized, put down and receive rude little comments about everything, even being alive?

@packupyourtroublesP well maybe have your mom talk to him or talk to him yourself and hopefully he can stop the chain. just because it happened to him its no excuse for him to do it to you

Nevermind that last comment, I talked to her on the phone and told her how much I care about her and that I wouldn't be upset if she cut because I don't want her to do anything worse. I think she won't kill herself.

sometimes i know my mom over steps the line of parenting and lecturing/emotional abuse. in 6th grade (im going into 8th grade) i turned into a "bad" kid and she rightfully, got mad. but she told me she wanted to disown me and that she doesn't love me. the only child she now had was my twin brother. and whatever else. it was really hurtful and sucked. so i just kinda tried harder in school and tried to make everything better. we're much closer now. i sat and talked with her a lot too. we're good.
my girlfriends mom emotionally abuses her, and she tried to kill herself twice. She thinks shes worthless and that I deserve someone better, but i love her more than life itself and all i want is for her to be happy. And she says that shes a horrible person but shes really a wonderful person and she makes me happy but she thinks she brings me down because I get depressed sometimes. idk why im telling you this but i guess now that i am telling you, what do u think i should do?
@withtrevorextras that reminds me of something andy would say. (sorry i have bvb on the brains been watching youtube vids on them for 4 hrs now :p) And i know, making choices that make me happy is hard cause i like to see other people happy first..over me. But ill do my best thanks (:
