Just 2 suggestions, use a paddle in your left hand as well, challenge both sides of your brain while you are still young. If possible raise your seat so wrists are flat & forearms are parallel to the keyboard to avoid tendon problems ;) Hope you love your 2012!

YouTube needs to provide a MUCH LARGER and varied selection of free, safe, background music beds... so many people use the same few over & over....

@mstax I think the music you hear there isn't actually provided by YouTube but delivered to people as part of iMovie. (You'll notice that people who use other editing software or non-Mac computers usually don't have it.) Finding free royalty-free music is quite a hassle (Yes, there's Kevin MacLeod's Incompetech but what else?), so I can't really blame people for using what they've already got.
