If you notice when the view of her and the sunset, the camera angle slightly moves like an old Criterion collection movie, i thought, "yeah, she's fucked." Then when he moves past her with no emotion, i was like, "NO FUCKING WAY! MUGEN WENT THE POETIC ROUTE!" Then when I had time to think about it, I summarized; Jin would have showed mercy and slain her, Mugen's act of letting her live was his own way of showing no mercy. Thanks unrecognizedgenius for posting this epic scene.

Either way mugen suffered just as much as this girl, you c that in the flashbacks when hes drowning, his entire life hed been double crossed and still trusted mukoro and the girl because he wanted to believe that something in his past was right, but then he got blown up... again, in a way his act is still compassionate the girl still has a chance to escape tho shell struggle

Mugen killed him, leaving her with nothing--she didn't know where the money was, and she didn't have anybody else to go to. Living would be worse than dying, to her. That's why she begged Mugen to kill her. She did do something: she tricked Mugen and was selfish bitch lololol

She double-crossed him with Shiren and then used this relatively innocent bystander to do her dirty work on the way out.

^^^ From an FAQ (I had to look it up because I will still confused with the whole plot. Those episodes are kinda confusing) ha :)

@greg11bishop I strongly disagree. First of all Mugen's Japanese voice actor is a total bad ass (renowned for doing bad ass voice acting for bad ass characters). Second, I think that the whole beauty of the show and what makes it spcial is the Westren urban tone, in a traditional Japanese backround. anachronism is really in favor of this show. Anyway, Japanese languae has a big part in capturing that Japnanese essence in the show. In English it just gets lost...
