  • This is an Arthur Alexander song. Irma does a great job.

  • I agree poetryselite...i to was very intrigued by the small porion of the song and it woulb be that you're a poet and Im one myself that we'd be drawn to such few words. But the power of the words that were heard in short, captured my poetic being in such a blessed manner. We can all say that we've been caught "in the middle of it all" at one time or another and it seems as though the rain will never stop, then when you look up even the rain creates a pathway. LOVELY SONG.

  • This song is from Irma's album "After The Rain" Also, check out Irma's OFFICIAL facebook page.

  • I've neva heard the entire song, but I just loved the snippet from "Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married Too?" I had to search for it and this was indeed the perfect song for the scene in the movie as Janet Jackson's character was in shambles. Irma Thomas is unique in her sound.

  • What a nice song....

  • I would really love to know on what cd can i find this song on!!!.....can someone plz respond. i love this after hearing it as a soundtrack on why did i get married too.

  • @tonguestress why did i get married too soundtrack

  • @tonguestress The album is "After the Rain", enjoy it...I do !!!

  • Very soulful. Thank you for posting.

  • I've seen her 2X over the years, once here in upstate NY @ a blues festival & once @ her club in New Orleans, the Lion's Den, wiped out by Katrina. Like the title of her live album, she's "Simply the Best"! See her if you get the chance, you won't be disappointed.
