Antonio Tarver sucks donkey balls! His whole career is an accident. Watch the Roy Jones Jr. KO fight. He just hit RJJ at the right time with no skill involved. Any fighter that had somewhat of a name, He barely beat this man and this is a joke! Bernard Hopkins proved just that. Tarver is a one hit wonder. Stop living in the past and show us something new. And very exciting - some people described him as "the european oscar de la hoya"
But not yet has he got a fanbase like other europeans like Calzaghe,Hatton,Khan,etc

Yeah Tarver got plenty of exposure all because of RJJ's fame - but if you look past all the talk and hype, Tarver is a pretty basic fighter. He had struggling fights with Glencoffe, Hopkins humiliation and looked tired against Clinton Woods.
Tarver would do better in heavyweight. Apparantly in between fights he walks around with 210 or 220 pounds - big weight drop to get to 175!

Tarver made his name off RJJ plain and simple.That lead him to bigger fights but you got to take your hats off to Tarver being that Tarver wants to keep fighting even though didn't look good at his last fight but shit he still champion at age of 39.But I think Tarver should hang it up after the Dawson fight since he has nothing to prove.

Bernard Hopkins took Tarver to school in this fight. Sometimes a bit sloppy for B-Hop, but for you guys who call Hopkins boring take a look at his fight with Trinidad. That was an exciting fight, Hopkins was amazing and he put on one of the best displays of pure boxing in a long time.

I don't think it should be about race. Yeah hopkins was out of order with his comment but so what in the end he got beat! Afterwards he has come accross as a bad loser from everyone in boxing including ESPN.
Don't forget Joe is 36 and is not young. The thing is Hopkins had nothing to lose and everything to gain. This fight was all set when hopkins was in his prime but came back to the table when he had agreed his fee of $4m and came back with $12 to fight joe. This is FACT!

Joe is a good fighter, not taking anything away from him, but remember that styles make fights. His style is right for a Hopkins victory because when Joe lets his hands go he leaves himself open wide. Hopkins is not going to let him recoup once he lands a hard uppercut or hook, unlike Kessler who made the mistake of not following through. Hopkins is able to fight 15 rounds and does not tire easily even at 43. Hopkins hits harder-look at his arms compared to Joe's.

Kessler isnt a skillful boxer He's a measured aggressor. All he has is a basic one, two, step back then one, two, step back again. He has no punch variety and has a stiff upper body. Kessler lacks handspeed, inside fighting ability and upperbody movement. These are all qualitiess that Hopkins owns even at 43. You cant compare Kessler and B-Hop they are 2 totally different class of fighter. This is the 1st time Calzaghe has faced a skillful boxer who can make him miss and make him pay

How boring a fight is this?!! have you ever seen a joe calzaghe fight? hes all over the opponent, ducking, weaving and continually throwing great punches. He does it consistently for all 12 rounds. He put on the weight correctly, the nutritionist/physical trainer that is working with BH has never had a fighter lose after being in his corner. I forget his name, but he's not cheap, and I consider this a big ace in the hole for BH, as he will be his absolute best on fight night, where as Joe will be fighting his first super, and a known puncher at that. Joe's chin=untested.
